I initially applied online and thought nothing of it after a couple of months passed. One day I got a call from the HR department to schedule a phone interview. After completing the phone interview, I was told the information would be reviewed with the hiring manager, and if they felt my qualities may be a match, I would be called back for an in person interview. About a week passed and I got the call back to schedule the face to face. The face to face was with 2 hiring managers, and was fairly relaxed as opposed to other interviews I've been on. The offer was not made until about a month after the interview took place pending a background check and drug screen, after which I accepted.

Initial interview took place over the phone and was invited to have a one on one interview the following day. During the interview various questions were asked to insure I would be comfortable teaching and counseling college aged students. School was organized and well equipped for the learning environment

I was first contacted by a recruiter with a phone screening she asked to meet with her at a hiring orientation where they would be conducting interviews, I accepted. I sat through a half hour presentation about Devry and what they offer. Then we were broken up to do a face to face interview. I was asked three simple questions to describe my previous employer the reason for leaving and to talk about a situation where my listening skilled where needed to assist a customer. I thought the interview had gone really good. I was told I was going to be contacted by the recruiter the following day. I was also described the position and was told once hired there was a week training that took place in Chicago. Unfortunately I never heard back from them and didn't purse them any further because It would be really difficult for me to take a trip to Chicago but overall it seemed like a good company and the hours included working evenings and Saturdays.

After sending my resume, I was contacted about a phone interview. After that was set up, I was emailed a reasoning test and personality profile which I promptly took and returned. Phone interview went well. A few weeks went by and I had my first in person interview scheduled. The day before that, I was asked to prepare a 5 minute presentation about the company. Did that. Had interview, it seemed to go well. Next step, interview with Regional Marketing Manager who said they hoped to have an offer to someone by mid-December. That seemed to go well. During this entire process, the corporate recruiter was very responsive, helpful and encouraging. After my interview with RMM, I wanted to send a thank you email but didn't have his email addy so I emailed the recruiter. He asked that I send him the note and he'd forward it. I did. He responded and even asked if he could change the wording a tiny bit. I said he could and thanked him. That was the last I heard from anyone there. I emailed the recruiter a couple of times to check in and heard nothing. I understand not getting the position but I don't understand the about face from the recruiter. He went from being helpful and communicative to...??? My reservations about the company's reputation and high turnover (RMM had only been w/ company 3 years, RM had only had her previous position for 1) had been all but wiped away by what I thought was the professional way the interview process was handled until the communications ceased. I'm so glad I wasn't offered the position.

I was contacted by a staffing agency which conducted an initial screening, I was then scheduled for a group/panel interview, that was followed by a face-2-face interview that was condcuted by 2 managers. I was then contacted a couple weeks after the final interview with an offer.

we had to partake in a group interview....where about 20 candidates are all in one room together trying to explain why they are relevant and qualified for a job that have just learned about in a 10 powerpoint.

There were about 10 people in the group interview. Three people with Devry conducted the interview. The only thing they had us talk about was who we are and why we would be good for the position. Next one of the interviewers gave a presentation about the company. Then they answered any questions anyone had. After that one of the interviewers asked questions about the presentation he had given. He gave a water bottle to each person that got a correct answer.
