I applied through an employee referral and the process took 8 weeks - interviewed at Dell in July 2011.
Interview Details – I interviewed with many different people. overall I was impressed with the caliber. I made a presentation to two groups of about 5-6 per group. the second round of interviews consisted of one on one meetings with various executives. I also joined my potential boss and others for dinner in a casual social setting. the process was comprehensive, which gave me confidence that if I was the chosen candidate, that I would indeed be a good fit.
