Overall Neutral Experience Received and Declined Offer

Interviewed Dec 2008 (took 2 weeks)

it alright! I didn't feel too pressure, because I was interviewed for a position that's I am over qualified for. Advise for other candidate would be make sure you know what you want, and read about the company before the interview. So that you can better assess if it is truely a good fit for you both from the company culture and position required stand point.

Easy Interview
Overall Positive Experience Interviewed and No Offer

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took 5 weeks)

Interview process was very professional and fast paced. I had 2 phone interviews the first day. The following week I had a face to face interview with the hiring manager and a technical peer. Interview consisted of reading of standard interview questions followed on with a more detailed discussion of job and any questions I had. Shortly after this I interviewed with a VP. I was told that I would hear from HR in the following week but this is when things dragged out. I was told several weeks later that the position was offered to an internal candidate which accepted the position.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took 1 week)

The first round was technical and around webservices. Pretty complex. They also pay special attention to everything in the resume and pretty picky about the questions they would ask. eg I had worked on Hibernate 3 years back and they kept on drilling me about it.

Very Easy Interview
Overall Positive Experience Received and Accepted Offer

Interviewed May 2007 (took 2+ weeks)

Got a request through school career services. 2 interviews. One was very straight forward behavioral and the other had a bit of cases. Seemed like the right hand had no idea what the left hand was doing as I had to keep emailing to confirm "my status" and make sure I did not fall through the cracks! Ended finally getting an offer.

Very Difficult Interview
Overall Negative Experience Interviewed and No Offer

Interviewed May 2007 in Nashville, TN (took a day)

Someone from HR CALLED ME and told me I was a great candidate for B2B Sales. She found my resume and heard I did good B2B sales somewhere. I did not give them resume. I took off work from existing job to do their grudging interview process. They gave me the most difficult retarded test I ever saw in my life. The lady said, don't worry, most everyone has to come back. I was like WTF, and never came back.....

Other Details

Business Consultant at Dellstudent candidate

Average Interview
Overall Neutral Experience Received and Accepted Offer

Interviewed Apr 2007 (took 2 months)

This was a job offered through the career center at my school. For the first round they came to campus and hr held short informational interviews all day. Two weeks later I was invited to a second round interview. This was second round date for graduate and undergraduate candidates. It began with an overview of dell and tour of the company in the morning followed by interviews at a large hotel ballroom that was set up with massive number of curtained off interview rooms. You sat behind a table with a schedule and four groups of two came in for a half hour each. Director level in the group you were interviewing for paired with recent MBA graduates. Pretty standard informational interview. No stumpers, no teases. Painless actually. After two hours there were cookies.

Two months later I got a call and an offer.

Interview Questions

What three things do you think can be done to the current site to drive revenue.

Negotiation Details

Pretty straightforward, almost choreographed. A lot of classmates received offers so it was known how high you would end up. So they made the offer, I said I need x, they said you're crazy we can do this. I said let me think and then took the offer. Not a lot of wiggle room.

Other Details

I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, a Personality Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.
