Interviewed May 2011 in Nashville, TN (took a day)
Interviews with Dell are often based on a format of finding out how you handle situations in the work place. I was asked to address a situation, what was the task taken to deal with that situation, what was the action taken and what was the ultimate result of the action taken. Be prepared to address how you have dealt with situations relevant to the job you are applying for and what you did to create the desired result.

Negotiation Details
I negotiated very close to the salary I wanted. I would advise to find out what the position you are considering pays in the job market you are considering. You will likely be offered slightly less than what the market is averaging for the position, but it is negotiable.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Nashville, TN (took a day)
There was no true interview of which to speak. I was brought in to a room with about 10 other candidates and we watched a video about Dell. It was about bland company policy. Basically everyone who was present was given a position on a temporary basis. It felt as if they chose only to hire anyone who applied and simply weed them out through the training phase.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
utter lack of benefits, pay and flexibility. I was expected to be on call 7 days a week from 6am to 12 am.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Staffing Agency and the interview consisted of a Group/Panel Interview and a Presentation.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Nashville, TN (took 3 months)
They will normally call you first after you apply online, then they will ask you to come in for an in person interview that consists of 2-3 people interviewing you. Then they will call you with a decision. This took about two months from initial phone interview to call in interview, then 1 month between the call in interview to when I actually got offered the job.

Interviewed Apr 2009 in Nashville, TN (took a day)
Applied online, and was interviewed immediately.
Asked me basic IT questions, asking my availability and experience. Seeing as I had no experience, I believe I didn't get the job because of this. No idea where to start my IT career.

Interviewed May 2007 in Nashville, TN (took a day)
Someone from HR CALLED ME and told me I was a great candidate for B2B Sales. She found my resume and heard I did good B2B sales somewhere. I did not give them resume. I took off work from existing job to do their grudging interview process. They gave me the most difficult retarded test I ever saw in my life. The lady said, don't worry, most everyone has to come back. I was like WTF, and never came back.....
