Interviewed May 2011 in Bracknell, England (United Kingdom) (took 1+ week)
The interview process was painless and was professionally run. The interviewers were pleasant and seemed informed about the company and the position and asked relevant questions. They were able to answer all the questions posed to them and the interview was run on time and pleasant.
The interview wasn't very long but the time was well spent. They did not ask any of the soft interview questions but got straight to the point and described the position, it's requirements and their expectations.

Reason for Declining
I did not feel that either the position or the company was a good fit for me as the role was very well defined and I was looking for something with more variety and challenge to it.
Other Details
I applied In-Person and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a Group/Panel Interview.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Paris (France) (took 3 months)
I submitted my CV online via their career section end September 2010.
2 weeks later I got a call from an HR person. A phone interview was set for the following week. The phone interview lasted 45 minutes: the HR person went through my CV and asked me why I wanted to work for Dell. That went quite well. I was told they would call me in 2 weeks to arrange another round of interview.
I did not get any feedback as expected, so I called the HR person back and asked about when the next interview was going to happen. I was told that it would take a bit longer than planned but was assured to receive a call in another 2 weeks…
I got no news, so I called once again and left a message on their voice mail. Finally, they returned my call beginning November to let me know that they needed to interview a few more candidates with experience in the PC industry (unlike me I supposed!!).
End of November, I telephoned to find out about the status of the recruiting process only to told that they were going to pursue with two female candidates…
