Interviewed Apr 2012 in Boston, MA (took 3 weeks)
Very professional interview process. Was called for an initial phone screen following an employee referral. I was then moved on to the next round which consisted of one case interview and one behavioural interview. The case was short and pretty straightfoward, basically it's to check your math and logical ability. The behavioural interview was also pretty easy but very important in the grand scheme of things. Deloitte is really big on fit.
Second round interviews were the same format. Case was longer and the behavioural portion more direct. Again the fit is everything. Understand the firm and sell yourself accordingly

Didn't negotiate the financial compensation because my offer was definitely fair. I tried to get a higher title but that didn't quite work out

Interviewed Dec 2010 in Boston, MA (took 4 days)
The very basic fit interview questions and then experience of the last work places. In great detail about the challenges, roles and team work related questions. There were a few questions on the technology area where I had played a part. In the final round situational questions were asked in order to ascertain my experience.

I got a call from the recruiter, she asked some basic HR questions and then set up a time with me to have a phone interview with a manager from NY office. The phone interview consisted of work experience, technical questions and really he was trying to understand if I was a good fit or not.
Interview Questions

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Boston, MA (took a day)
Spoke to campus recruiter about the firm, I was offered a on campus interview. After 1 1/2 weeks received an ok to go for an office visit. Office visit was great, people seemed very nice, down to earth and interested. Interview was very relaxed, more of a get to know you kind of environment. The inside of the office is the best looking one among the Big Four in Boston.
Reason for Declining
Accepted with another firm, which I thought it was a better fit.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Boston, MA (took a day)
Very awkward interview. Interviewer simply had a list of questions that she just went down, and started firing questions away. Behavioral and situational questions mostly. Not conversational at all. Other big 4 interviews went much better.

The campus recruiter reached out to me to schedule a phone interview. The interview lasted about 15-20 minutes. She then reached out to me within a week to schedule a face-to-face interview. I met with a senior manager and a partner for about 20 minutes each.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Boston, MA (took a day)
Had a phone interview with the recruiter first and then on-site interview with a partner and a manager.
They were all very nice, especially the interviewers. Asked basic general and behavioral questions, but I had not prepared well so could not give my best. Make sure to have lots of questions for them, not just sample questions from career websites.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Boston, MA (took 2 weeks)
I had applied through the deloitte website. I had applied for deloitte consulting for their Information management practice area.
1) I was initally called by a person from HR. They ask some general questions about expereince, current salary, expected salary, etc
2) Then got selected for telephonic interview within 3 days. It was not hard just elementary technical skills.
3) After that I was asked to appear for in person interview in Boston. Deloitte pays for your airfare, hotel. They are very friendly and generous with providing the logistics. You will have 3 face to face interviews.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Boston, MA (took 4+ weeks)
First was a phone screening by the staffing employee. It was just about what I had done in the past, so he could deem whether it was a fit for the role. Next I had a phone interview with a person from another location. There was a standard set of questions asked--almost directly off the sheet of paper. Some of the questions were so basic that I second guessed myself as to whether they were trick questions, but they were not. Things like "What is a budget" and "What do you do when a budget does not tie out".
The final step in the process was three face-to-face interviews. One was a case study, although it was more like a series of behavioral interviewing questions. The second was a technical analysis, evaluating my excel/powerpoint, etc skills. The third was more of a personality interview, as the interviewer and I just had a conversation about all topics.

Negotiation Details
Deloitte offers are more than fair, but I doubt they negotiate much. I tried to squeeze a few more dollars out of them and had an answer in about 5 minutes that the offer was what it was. Like I said, it was already more than I was expecting, so I accepted.
