Interviewed Oct 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 1 week)
First interview was a telephone interview with HR. Very professional, basically just confirming information on resume and experience.
Second interview was suppose to be in-person at Deloitte's Toronto office but the hiring manager (Sr. Manager) changed to phone interview because the hiring manager decided to work from home that day. I received the phone call 2 hours before the scheduled interview time. The interview started off with the hiring manager describing the position and for most of the interview was talking about herself. She received a phone call and took the call, otherwise she would have probably went on and on. While waiting for 10 mins, I made a decision that I will not be working for Deloitte. Her excuse for taking the phone call was a Partner had called. After her phone call she asked me a couple of case questions and processes. I answered in great details for her. Out of 45 minutes, I probably talked for no more than 15 mins. The day after the interview I called Deloitte's HR rep and told her I had another job offer elsewhere. Reviews from others about lack of professionalism in Deloitte is so true.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
Took place at one of their locations in downtown Toronto. Good variety of questions. Typically starts off with general questions related to your resume and experience to learn more about you and your past experiences. There's also a case question, a set of behavioural, and then some general questions like "Why Deloitte?" or "Why Human Capital?" Interviewers were nice and encouraging. You will go through two interviews in the first round following this format, one after another, usually with consultant-level people handling one round and slightly more senior people handling the other (e.g. managers). It may be different if you go to a school where they do on-campus interviews though. Takes about 2 hrs (1 for each interview)
If you make it to the second round, the following week you will be invited to a dinner and then a second round of two interviews (an hour each) with a partner and senior manager(s).

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Calgary, AB (Canada) (took 3 weeks)
Started with a phone interview mainly asking about academic and career background, 10 minutes at the most. Next was the first interview, initially met with a senior manager and an associate partner. Consisted of the standard interview questions and discussions, very light and conversational. Later, had a discussion with a partner, this was mostly informative; he discussed the job, the opportunities that were possible, the work-life balance etc. About a week later a second interview, where I met with the same senior manager to discuss the details of what the job entailed, another senior manager from a different team to ask general interview questions (this, I believe, was more to determine fit within the company than anything else). I met with a manager and a senior analyst for coffee (again to determine social skills within the team). Finally, I met with the associate manager from the first interview to discuss compensation, start date and an outline for the first few months as well as future career progression. Another week went by and I got a call saying that all interviews went well and that I should expect an offer shortly. Offer came the next day.

Negotiation Details
Being that this is my first job out of school, I did not attempt to negotiate salary, vacation or anything else like that. There was some room to discuss a start date and we came to an agreement that worked well for me.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a Group/Panel Interview and a Personality Test.

Interviewed May 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 months)
It was a three step process that consisted of an initial phone interview followed by set of questions which I assume helped determine if a in-person interview was granted. After the answers were submitted I got a phone call a few weeks later scheduling a real interview!
In terms of people, there were four people involved. One person set-up and conducted the phone interview, another person called to set-up the in-person interview and two different people conducted the in-person interview.
Overall, everyone was clear, professional and respectful. They always sent follow-up emails after a phone call and confirmed dates and times. Although I did not get the job, they called and provided constictive feedback and told me to look out for other opportunties within the organization.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Kingston, ON (Canada) (took a day)
There were 2 rounds - behavioral and a case interview. The behavioral was 1 hour and went all over the place with regards to experiences. Seemed to be a checklist that they went through to make sure you had all the experiences that they were looking for.
The case interview was quite straightforward with no business analysis and is similar to the sample cases they have on their website.
Focusing on the people - process - technology angle is all thats needed to do the case.
There is some number crunching needed but not too much and no pressure from the interviewer either

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 months)
Talk to HR people at career fair at my university. Got call for interview. Meet with two people from Technology Consulting team. Pretty structured. They had papers with questions they needed to ask me. It was still extremely relaxed. They asked a question and we a discussion about the answer; it wasn't just me answering it. I made a few jokes that they liked.
Three weeks later, we had a dinner with 40 other candidates and about 15 Deloitte consultants. Again, it was relaxed. Thought they would be judging us, but they didn't seem to be. The next day I had two interviews with senior managers and partners. Again, extremely structured. They asked a question and I answered it. No discussion really. Didn't feel good after the interview, but I got it.
Questions:
- Name time when a team wasn't clicking and how you dealt with it - got this twice in one day
- How do you approach problems
- How did you make yourself stand out from peers

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
Through email communications with the hiring manager, I obtained a panel, behavioural interview at head office in the data division. Started with name something you would like to highlight on your resume, what did you do here, then got into, name a time when you worked with someone you did not get along with, etc. etc. Whole process took 25 minutes.
At the interview, the panel consisted of a senior consultant and a new employee with the same background as mine (engineer). They were very friendly in person, and I though the interview went very well, though my experience was limited. It seemed there was rapport and our personalities were congruent.
After emailing both of the employees on the panel 1 day after the interview I never received a response. I sent one more message to follow-up and did not get a response. To get to there office I had to travel from Kingston, which was a $85 and 7 hour (total) trip . Additionally, I had to miss class to get to the interview. I later found out from the contact I had initially got the interview with that they are very "unorganized" in that division.
To say the least, the whole ordeal left a bitter taste in my mouth.
