Interviewed Jan 2012 in Chicago, IL (took a day)
2 back-to-back interviews. One fit, one case. The case was a M&A case, asking how to value a company using multiple. The fit interview was conversational to clarify things on your resume.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Chicago, IL (took a day)
Networked at the career fair with the company. Had the first round interview on campus and made it to the second round. The second round was made up a presentation, two interviews, and lunch. The interviews were about half an hour each with a partner and a senior manager. Lunch was with a couple new associates.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 3 weeks)
Initially had a phone interview with a recruiter then an in person interview at a Deloitte office in Chicago. I met with 3 people there of varying experience to discuss what I was looking for at Deloitte, my skills via a few written and spoken scenarios, and my experience. The case study I was given was quite difficult as it was completely out of my field; my expereince is in healthcare IT and my case study had to do with warehouse supply accounting. It was difficult for me, but I was still offered the job.
The office itself was very nice and had a great location in downtown Chicago. My interviewers also seemed to have a lot of experience and knew exactly what they were looking for.

Reason for Declining
My current company matched the offer Deloitte provided me, Deloitte also would have required me to move to Chicago and go into the office every Friday, whereas my current job I can work from home on Fridays.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Chicago, IL (took a day)
Applied through campus recruitment and spoke to alumni from my school. A manager from the Human Capital under Human Transformation called me for a behavioural interview and case interview (separate managers). The interviewer for the bahavioural was average and he seemed uninterested in doing the interview. The case interview was a bit startling.. HR case about how to streamline HR.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 4 weeks)
Recruiter was new to role so was not prepared. She mentioned the opportunity keeps changing so they are not sure what the exact role will be. She called me on my resume so no specific role - jsut area within the firm was looking for someone with my skillset. My perception is they wanted someone tht can travel 75-80% and I stated that I can possibly only travel 50% given my new family situation...

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 4 weeks)
Application - I applied to a few positions online, they contacted me for this one. The internship program was new and the job description changed on me before the first interview, it was similar but I was just trying to get in the door anyway so I went on. Each of these interviews were a week apart and I had the same contact person from the 1st to the 4th interview.
Round 1 (phone) - The first interview was a review of my resume. She went over the interview process. She said there would be three interviews and this was a review of my skills. Then she reitirated the job description. She basically asked me if the facts of my resume were true. Not really driving interaction. I thought there would be more so when she was done. I started listing other things not on my resume and things to highlight that are directly related to the job description. It worked.
Round 2 (phone) - I interviewed with someone on the team I was working with. She wasn't HR but had a good structure to follow. I was personal with her, because a lot of my friends who worked at Deloitte said that they're looking for people who they get along with after the initial screening. I told personal stories and we connected, I was confident I was going to the next round.
Round 3 (in person) - I was greeted by my corespondents at the door. They brought me up to the room where I was supposed to interview the manager I would be working with. I made a small chit-chat on the elevator. The meeting was very unstructured. It was more of the manager explaining the structure of the organization and a specific example of things I would be doing (working with excel mainly). I thought the interview was a little awkward and it almost felt like I met and I was going to start the next day if I said I liked the fit. Not the case but I got another interview.
Round 4 (phone) - This interview was with one of the national managers. She was extremely professional and asked all of the toughest common HR questions one could ask. I could tell she was very smart. I felt challenged, yet confident that this was a successful company because they have great people at the top. Overall, It did seem like the company was hierarchical but the knowledge increased drastically as I went up the chain of command in interviews. That was good indicator for me that the right people are in the right positions.
I did not get an offer. I guess I was one of the last 3 candidates and someone else had better technical skills, which is their explanation for me not getting a job.

The interviews were standard but thorough. The challenge is the scheduling. Many people had to interview me and their availability was tight.
