Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Diegem (Belgium) Dec 2010 – Reviewed Aug 1, 2011

Interview Details – After applying online I was invited for two 1:1 interviews. The first one was with HR and the content was "typical HR" (career achievements, language skills, career aspirations, salary expectations...) and not to hard. The second interview was with a Senior Manager around my technical capabilities and previous professional experience.
Eventually I was selected for a panel discussion with the partner and 2 directors where I had to read a case and discuss that with them afterwards. The panel discussion was pretty tough but I seemed to have passed it since I did receive an offer.

Interview Question – How would you calculate the amount of gas stations in Belgium?   View Answers (2)

Negotiation Details – Their first offer was far below the expectations that I communicated to them (Consultant level with corresponding salary package) but I was able to negotiate to Senior Consultant level.

No Offer – Interviewed in Diegem (Belgium) Dec 2010 – Reviewed Dec 5, 2010

Interview Details – The process consisted of multiple stages. I first applied online, added my cv, which was screened by human resources. The next step was a phone call with a recruiter. I was asked to motivate my application, and subsequently asked for my job preference within Deloitte. The recruiter invited me to attend a business case.

The business case was done in groups. We were handed a brochure which expounded the situation of a fictitious company that had called in Deloitte for advice. Solving of the case consisted of an individual reading of the material, a group discussion and a presentation of the findings at the end. The whole process was in English and observed by someone from Deloitte.

A few days later I got an invitation for two (out of three) interview: one with someone from human resources, and one with a senior manager from within the business unit to which I applied. The first interview was a (very) traditional job interview in three languages. The second interview was in English and was altogether much more casual and easygoing. We discussed my resume, and there were plenty of opportunities for me to ask questions. This last interview gave me the impression of a very open corporate culture, with a very down to earth attitude from people with seniority.

Interview Details – Had a short phone interview that asked about my motivation to choose for applying at Deloitte. I was also asked a question about some elements in my resume, after which I was invited to the assessment day.

The assessment consisted of a group case (5 people). We had 20 mins to read through the material, then 1 hour to discuss and another 30 mins to prepare the presentation. After the presentation there was a short group interview about the case.

Interview Question – Describe something that you are proud of.   Answer Question
