Interviewed Nov 2010 in New York, NY (took 8 weeks)
The interview process was straight forward.
1-first round on campus with two senior managers , 30 mins each. Be ready to sell yourself and know the business lines you are interviewing with; that will set you apart from the rest of the applicants. establish a relationship with the interviewer had proved to be valuable since my application was transfered from CT to NY because i told them what i wanted to do ,and mainly where i could put my skills to use. both managers were from the business risk practice but i was interested in the AVA practice. they were somehow impress with my credential and willingness to tell them exactly what i wanted to do . in fact both managers were surprised by what i already knew about the AVA group and decided to help interview with the group.
2-second round was a month later since they had to find a way to have me interview with a different practice. i met with 8 professionals total ranging from complex asset valuation, securitization, and pricing . the interviews started at 9 AM and ended at 2:30 PM then was taken to lunch by a couple managers. it was a grueling process but preparation was key which enabled me to nail most of the interview questions they ask. it was a combination of quant, behavioral , and couple brain teaser questions. Received an offer 2 weeks later to join the ERS group as a consultant . starting in the fall of 2011.

Negotiation Details
Absolutely no negotiation what so ever. The HR rep told me that the compensation package was standard to every new hire.
Make sure you know what you need as far as salary before hand that will make the whole process easier. if it is your first job , evaluate the offer on the type of experience you will gain so that you can leverage that experience in the long run and use it to ask for more.
Other Details
I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took 5 days)
I was surprised how nice and accomodating was. They tried to adjust to my schedule and asnwered all of my questions on-time. First round consisted of one on one interviews with 2 managers. The second round was with the partner. The partner was very cool and I felt very relaxed at the interview. He asnwered all my questions and as soon as he heard that I have an offer, he congratulated me through e-mail.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took a day)
First, I was asked to write an essay in paragraph. My topic was "what are the factors you will consider as you choose your career? Please start from the most important one. "
After 30 minutes, the talent manager came to interview me. The questions she asked were?
1. What's your greatest achievement and why?
2. When your team met difficulties, how did you overcome?
3. What's your plan in recent 3~5 years?
4. What's your worst like courses at universities?
There were also several other questions based on my extra-curricular activities.

There were two interviewers. They were both very nice, kept on rewording their questions in order for me to understand what it is they want to hear.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took 2 days)
I applied to go through the recruiting process through my university website. Once I had accepted the offer for an interview I was sent an invitation to join a dinner beforehand, and get a chance to meet some of the associates. They were all pretty nice, I liked some more than others, but that is to be expected anywhere you work. I had my interview in the morning following the dinner. I heard back about 4 days later.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Chicago, IL (took a day)
It was pretty informal and laid back. This was just the first interview. They asked many behavioral interview questions (i.e. "tell me about a time you faced adversity."). It was actually my first interview in college for a full time job so I was pretty nervous. But the interviewer really helped me through

Interviewed Aug 2010 (took 1 week)
Deloitte proved much less professional than McKinsey in their recruiting process, sometime for the better and mostly for the worst. I got an interview with them and was scheduled an interview with a team leader and her boss (don't know his title). The interview was very straight forward old-school style and consisted of the typical "so, tell me about yourself" question, and a few questions about my programming language knowledge (SQL etc.).
I was later asked what are my salary expectation and answered 14-17. The interviewers were surprised to say the least, they answered that entry level salaries in Deloitte (Israel only, in my opinion) are much lower. When asked how much lower they said half of what I had asked for, and on the bottom of the range.
After the interview I was given a simple test to take on my own in a private room. The test consisted of three questions:
1) Describe a stock cycle (when receiving and shipping goods) of a dairy manufacturer.
2) There was a paragraph describing the process in which a firm is receiving orders for online advertising space, and the way they issue receipts. The task was to find two or three faulty behaviors of the firms conduct and lay them out in a consulting way: issue - implications - your recommendation.
3) They had given an example of a simple database relationship story for you to draw the table, entities and their relationships.

Reason for Declining
They offer a ridiculously low wage, no matter how big their name is it would be very very hard to get by with their offered salary.
