Interviewed Mar 2012 in Houston, TX (took a day)
I was first interviewed on a school campus for an internship position in the audit field. Once I completed the first round of interviews, I was asked to travel to Houston for an office tour of the company and for multiple interviews. Once this was completed, I was called the same day and told that I would have the internship. The internship lasted from January through mid March, the busiest time of year for auditing. Once the internship was coming to a close, I was asked to come in for an exit interview with one of the partners. The conversation consisted of the reviews that my seniors and managers filled out about me and the pros and cons of my work. I was then offered the job in the interview.

I first was addressed by Deloitte during the ALPFA convention of 2011. I gave my resume to one of the recruiters and then after a week got an e-mail for a phone interview with someone of the Deloitte Houston office. I interviewed over the phone and then I got an office interview, I proceeded with the interview process, they had me for Dinner the night before the interview, then I did I interviewed with two senior managers and one partner. the interview was smooth, the people were very nice and I was a good fit with the company culture, ultimately I decided to start my career with another company.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Houston, TX (took 4 months)
I got a lead from someone inside the firm. I had a phone interview with HR first (pre-screening). Then, I had an interview with a partner in charge of a tax group. After that, I was brought in for an office visit. Everyone was very nice. Interview very conversational and generally low pressure. I felt pretty confident that they would make an offer. However, I heard nothing for quite some time and would follow up routinely once every couple of weeks. Eventually, several months later, I received an answer that nobody was hired for the position at all. I had something else lined up, so no hard feelings.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Houston, TX (took a day)
I interviewed with a manager,a senior manager and a partner. All interviewers are really nice. I had several behavior questions for manager. The environment with senior manager and partner are not formal as I expect. Questions include: Give an example on how you meet a tight deadline. Give an example on how you achieve the goal when your teammate does not get along well with you, or have conflict.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Houston, TX (took a day)
My first impression was that the interviewers seemed very bored. They were critical of my knowledge of their company and did not do a good job selling their company. First I did a case problem with a former alum of my school who I felt was exceedingly critical. Then I took a personality test by someone who seemed bored with his life. I felt like I was criticized, prodded and poked the whole time without any reward.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in Houston, TX (took 3 weeks)
I was interviewed by 3 different interviewers in 30 minutes intervals. 2 of the interviews were very casual conversations where the interviewer was more concerned in getting to know me as a person than to ask behavioral or situational questions. The other conversation was very script like designed, with behavioral questions and situational questions.

Interviewed May 2011 in Houston, TX (took 4+ weeks)
I submitted my resume online and was contacted by a recruiter the next day. We arranged a time to speak on the phone a few days later and mostly discussed my interest in the position and why I was choosing Deloitte. She then arranged an informal meet & greet with a director where he spent the entire time explaining the position to me and making sure I was truly interested in the work. Another phone interview with the partner in charge of the group was set up about one week later and we mostly just discussed my resume. I was finally brought in for three in-person interviews and they were very conversational. The only true interview questions had to do with team situations. Everyone was extremely friendly and polite and they all e-mailed me after I received my offer to congratulate me.
The best advice I can give anyone is to relax and be yourself. Deloitte seems more intersted in making sure your personallity fits than anything else.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Houston, TX (took 4 months)
I was called in for an office visit. It was a 9AM to 2PM affair where another 8 candidates were present. Recruiter came up to us and explained how the day would be structured. Then a bunch of consultants came and were paired up with each person. They were responsible for showing us around and taking us to our interviews. First interview was with a manager who basically asked me to run through my resume. Second interview was with a partner, this was very laid back and more like a conversation. He did ask one question:
Tell me about a time when you were in a team and conflict arose, how did you deal/what was your role?
After this all the candidates and consultants got together and we went for lunch. My advice:
Never let your guard down, you are being judged the whole day.
Make sure that your passion for joining the firm comes through.
Ask intelligent questions.
Dress to impress :)
