Interviewed Jan 2012 in New York, NY (took 2 months)
phone interview with recruiter
phone interview with partner
interview day - 3 partners, 2 behavioral interviews, one case study
advice: depends on which partners you talk to, but for senior hires, you have to prove that you can "carry your weight" by bringing in new business. Case was relatively straightforward.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
General Behavioral. Easy Case, there is no need to understand the industries they deal with (relative to standard consulting cases). The thing is they want YOU to know exactly where you want to be in their organization and the minute you show doubt of which area TR vs ARA they start doubting

Interviewed Oct 2011 in New York, NY (took 4+ weeks)
Submitted my application online at request of recruiter.
HR set up a phone 'screener,' and one week following the call I was invited to come into the office for two 30 minute 1:1 interviews (with senior manager level professionals.)
Approximately one week later I was contacted via email and invited to the 2nd round of interviews - two more 30 minute 1:1 interviews (with Partner/Director level professionals,) as well as to an in-office presentation and dinner.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
My last interview was an internal transfer from Deloitte Consulting to Deloitte Services. So the interview process was fairly streamlined: phone interview with the recruiter, then 3 in-person, 1:1 interviews.

Negotiation Details
It is always difficult to negotiate at Deloitte, but you can obtain the results you want if you know certain tips:
- even small amounts of money need to be approved by Partners/Principals.....and remember their attitude is that it's as if you're sticking your hand directly into their wallet
- so....you need to build a fact-based "business case" on why there would be ROI on the request
- however, the prevailing culture does not support aggressive negotiation....it must be framed in friendly, "let's collaborate on thinking this through" conversations....aggression and ego NEVER work at Deloitte!

Interviewed Nov 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
I had been networking with individuals for approximately one year leading up to the interview. I had contacted a number of practitioners via my school's alumni network, as well as through classmates that had interned with the company. My advice would be to run through and become as comfortable with as many cases as possible and ensure that you are able to successfully work with a group of unfamiliar people in a case situation. My perception of the people was that they were incredibly welcoming, open and friendly. They are the primary reason I was so determined to get into the firm and why I am accepting the offer.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Parsippany, NJ (took 2 days)
The first interview was over the phone. All she was asking of me is to confirm things on my resume and chose a location to work. She let me know that the interview date was such and such and that there was going to be a dinner the night before called "Inside Deloitte." A week or so later, the dinner came up in NYC and hotel was paid for Deloitte and they just gave us a tour of the office and let us know more about them. The next day's interview was simple and easy. Two individual interviews; one with a partner and another with a senior manager; both thirty minutes long. No pressure, just a relaxed conversation-type interview. Next thing I know, I get a call back a week later!
Definitely attend the dinner the night before the interview that way you can ask whatever questions that you have and get to know your interviewers better. During the interview itself, just stay relaxed, be yourself, and don't let the questions intimidate you.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in New York, NY (took 2+ months)
Met an alumni who was a manager in ERS at an accounting fair, gave him my resume and got a call from a recruiter days later. I had a phone interview for my first round since I couldn't make it to the office on the date of my first interview. After that I received an email inviting me to second round interviews and a special "Inside Deloitte" event. They paid to fly students in and put everyone up in a hotel (except I was already in NYC so it didn't matter). The night before interviews was a dinner attended by partners and other employees, they gave an awesome presentation and an office tour. Everyone was very friendly, they just wanted to make sure you were a good fir for the company.
