    Technology Consultant Interview

    Application Details

I applied through college or university. The process took a weekinterviewed at Deloitte in February 2015.

    Interview Details

    My interview process consisted of:

1- behavioral and case interview -> with two technology consultant
Prepare as many cases as you can from Deloitte website, read them carefully. Learn the business words they contain to use them for your interview. My case was related to extending a business by choosing one type of electronic payments like web portal, bit coin, and mobile payment. Ask the interviewers any question that comes to your mind. For example, what is the cost of entering to the market for each type. When you ask relevant questions, the interviewers give you some related charts that you can use to answer their questions. Regarding behavioral questions, try to prepare for them. Try to prepare for questions like why Deloitte, why this job by doing lots of research about Deloitte. Use their website. They have many things for the interview in their website even on questions you should ask from interviewers. Read carefully the competencies required for the position like having leadership skills, and try to show them through your answers to behavioral questions. Be Smart in your answers to make a good impression :D

2- Written test for 30 minutes: They told me that the test was new for 2015 applications. It was easy test. They asked me to assume myself as a new member of the technology consultant team and write a letter introducing myself and stating the goals I have for the first three month in the team.

They would like to test your writing skills. I did not know about the type of the test. So, I did not prepare for that. However, I had the experience of writing formal letters. Again try to be smart in your letter.

3- Fit interview -> with senior manager for 30 minutes
Again questions like why Deloitte, tell me about yourself. Try to be more confident and relax. It was an enjoyable discussion without any stress. The questions mainly were about the types of the projects that they had and asking my interest on them. .

4- Fir interview -> with partner for 30 minutes
Again it was an enjoyable discussion without any stress. He asked me about my thesis and my experiences.

I had the first interview in one day, and the others in another day.

My advice, Try to be CONFIDENT, read a lot about Deloitte and the interview questions, and prepare for them.

    Application Details

interviewed at Deloitte in September 2013.

    Interview Details

I got this interview through the CPA university recruitment process.

The interview I got was 2 interviews of 30 minutes each.

    1. The first one was with 2 managers asking typical behavioural questions tailored to my CACEE/resume. For this part it is good to practice the typical behavioural interview questions.

    2. The second one was with a partner and it was more of a conversation rather than typical interview. The first question I got was "Tell me about yourself."

    Interview Questions
    • If you have a group project that conflicts with your studies, how will you handle it ?
Tell me a time where you had to motivate people, and how did you do it ?

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Deloitte in June 2008.

    Interview Details

I applied to the position through my campus hiring system. I was contacted for my first interview on campus; there was one HR rep in person and a group of interviewers (one HR rep, two technical consultants) via teleconference. The HR reps ask me the typical behavioral questions along with office location preference. The technical consultants then asked me about my past project, followed by some basic technical questions.
I was then invited for a office interview. I spoke to senior managers and one partner. We basically talked about my past projects, what technology I'm comfortable with etc. I believe they were trying to understand if I would be a good fit with the company culture. They also asked me questions about my future goals and where I'd see myself in 5 years.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Deloitte in January 2008.

    Interview Details

Last minute interview request. Contacted by phone by contractor company. Interviewed by current admins x 2 and called same day by contract company to start following Monday. 2 weeks later, converted to fulltime, no interview process.

    Interview Questions
    • Describe the worst boss you ever worked for and how would you handle a monster boss or a boss who makes other admins cry?   View Answer
    • What is your level of excel and can you multi task several worksheets at once?   View Answer
    Negotiation Details
They told me the salary, I asked for more, they gave me slightly more. It was within market level. I believe the strangely unprofessional question was due to the necessity of it. They could not stop their managers from mistreating admins however, they were hiring weak admins as well.
