Interview Details – I was contacted by the company to inquire regarding my interest in the opening for a contract engineering position. Since it was at a company that I had already worked for and a very similar job to that which I had previously done I was familiar with the job and the company was familiar with my skills and performance. The interview lasted about 2 hours one-on-one with the person to whom I would report. It was a very easy interview.

Interview Details –
They were pleasant and all but as I interviewed I got the impression that, despite the ad wording, they were looking for someone with experience in the automotive industry and less for a fresh perspective and new ideas. The "not invented here", while not spoken, attitude was present.
The panel concentrated questions more on specific applications rather than checking for skill level or ability to learn and grow with the company. Hindsight being 20/20, I'm glad I didn't get an offer.
Interview Question – "Why was I leaving my current position?" Answer Question
