Wanted to know your strengths and weaknesses, also how you would improve yourself in the weakness area. The interview was over the phone and it was really direct not a lot of room for small talk and it was really to the point.

Initial telephone screening and resume review, followed by a mix of group and individual interviews on a separate day at corporate headquarters. Interviewed by General Managers and Directors in the business unit hiring. The interview process was very congenial, focusing on business skills, personality and behavioral questions, leadership experience and potential, and overall cultural fit.
My initial contact with the company was via an interaction at the NSHMBA career expo, followed by submission of my credentials and application to the Delta.com careers website.

Fixed offer - part of standardized MBA associate salary and benefit package. Negotiated relocation and house-hunting assistance benefits. There is some negotiability in the program related to starting bonuses, I was offered the maximum available, based upon post-hiring feedback.

I had a phone interview for an engineering internship/co-op. The phone interview was 30 minutes. They asked routine questions like why i am interested in engineering, conflict resolution, leading a group, and item you need to work on (ie time management etc). They said they would get back to me in less than 2 weeks and it has been 3 and I have not heard anything.

The actual interview was relatively quick; it was a 1-hour one-on-one with the general manager hiring me. I did not meet with anyone else or have to provide anything else. I didn't actually start the job until 6 weeks after that interview; Delta's hiring process takes at least 3-4 weeks to get someone in the door, as I confirmed when I hired someone a year later.
My first impressions were of a disorganized place--it was unclear which building I was supposed to go to and where exactly I should meet the hiring manager; entering the admin building, I was greeted by an empty lobby, as Delta no longer employed a receptionist.
As far as the actual interview:
Delta's approach is to give you an overview of the job and its requirements to ensure you understand what you're being interviewed for. Then it's a review of your resume and experience to get some idea of your background. Then the interviewer moves onto situational questions ("Tell me about a time you...", "What was your biggest challenge and why?", etc.) and hypothetical questions ("Imagine you were asked to do <blank>; how would you respond?").
The interviewer tends to be quiet, listening and taking notes, although I swear mine was actually checking their watch and e-mail occasionally! I did get a chance to ask questions, although I think the level of interest and detail was a bit unexpected for the hiring manager.
I did not get a chance to meet anyone else or tour the facilities--it was very much just sitting down with the interviewer, answering questions, and asking some questions.

Negotiation Details
I tried to negotiate a hiring bonus, as the base was low compared to other companies, but the hiring manager was unable to do so. I did get a slight bump on the base.
It's difficult to get anywhere near market rates at Delta. Delta tries to offer competitive rates, but many of the industry comparisons are several (3-6) years old. Additionally, HR's job title/description for salary comparison may be generic and not equivalent to the job you're actually being hired for, especially in marketing and technology roles.
Hiring managers have the most flexibility when it comes to vacation time; its tracking varies from dept. to dept. and is more of a contract between the hiring manager and employee, as it doesn't actually get noted officially by HR in your hiring contract.
If you're hired as a professional in the general offices (non airport/airplane jobs), you have several opportunities for bonuses, including performance based (usually 2-8% of base) and company goal-based (usually around $75 for things like meeting baggage targets in a month or quarter). Actual raises to base salary were put on-hold for a few years during bankruptcy, but there is now a pool that each dept. can dole out based on its own criteria; this typically has ranged from 1-3% of base in recent years.
Additionally, there have been stock options and other bonuses as part of emergence from bankruptcy and the merger with Northwest. These have varied widely based on tenure and role.
