General Manager Interview
I applied online. The process took 6 days – interviewed at Denny's (Virginia Beach, VA).
Felt the person actually hiring me knew their business. However the environment of the interview was poor. Having other managers present in theory maight be a good idea, but their lack of interest in the process was a waste of time
- Being asked the identical question by both people present was, again, a waste of time and effort. Following a format, but not listening Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks – interviewed at Denny's (Portage, IN) in March 2012.
Very long interview with the Regional Manager led to a second interview, a drug test and an offer which was less than origionally offered.
Reasons for Declining
The salary offer dropped after initial interview.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks – interviewed at Denny's in June 2011.
Denny's called me up and asked me to do an interview. I met with 2 District Supervisors for the first go around. I then met with 2 General Managers and did a follow day with management team. This gave great information on what the daily routine is for the Management team. I was later offered a position as General Manager for them.

I applied in-person. The process took a day – interviewed at Denny's in August 2010.
You have to submit a resume. Go through a two interveiw process. Take an online or over the phone questionaire. Then they have to run a background check on you, verify references and require you to take a drug test. If the test comes back good you are offered a job. The process is very easy if you are a restaurant person because the people giving the interveiws are looking for those pat answers that make you seem as if you are the best thing since white bread
- If you had a guest that complained about an employee and stated that they would not return if the employee still worked for you would you lose the guest or fire the employee? Answer Question
