Denny's Hostess Interview

Posted Dec 31, 2010

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Klamath Falls, OR Jun 2008 – Reviewed Dec 31, 2010

Interview Details – I walked in and asked to talk to the hiring manager, when she came out I told her I would like to get a job there, so she interviewed me right on the spot. This was the only interview I was given, They ask likes why do you want to work at Denny's, I told them I like the possibility to make more money based on my skills. They asked what I thought I could bring to the company, I said I thought I could bring a happy attitude that might brigten some customers days. My advise to other people is to be yourself and have fun during the interview, don't go uptight. They want to hire people that will enjoy the laid back work environment. Most of the employees there are great fun people, as with any job though there are the ones that get on your nerves. But over all, it was a very good fun place to work!

Interview Questions

Negotiation Details – My negotiation didn't start until after I was hired. I tried to negotiate getting promoted to waitress, after about a month of constant bugging, I got what I wanted! My advice is to keep up with what you want, don't be a push over. While great employers, they will treat you like a push over is you are one. If you want something let it be known.

Other Details - I applied in-person and the process took 2 days.
