Typical question. Always try to put the original problem in such a way that it makes both people look good. I talked about a school design project team where me and another guy both tried to lead the team and take charge. After a while we both realized that this neverending power struggle is counterproductive and is hurting the team and decided to work together. I don't think theres a better way to answer this question. You're not putting anyone down - check, you're striving for success - check, you're trying to be a leader - check, you find an optimal solution to a conflict - check, the entire thing is a learning experience - big check, and you put the success of the team in front of your own.
