I applied online. The process took 3+ monthsinterviewed at Deutsche Bahn in May 2014.

    Interview Details

It took about three months from the initial application to the final interview. There was a behavioral based phone interview, followed by an essay about my most challenging and successful project with my previous employer (one of Big Four audit firms). Then a first face-to-face interview with a Senior Consultant and a Principal, which included a case study. The second face-to-face interview was with another Principal and an HR. Finally there was a phone interview with the HR Director, which included a case study as well. The hiring process was very long and quite unfair regarding the last phone interview (after passing face-to-face interviews). The denial was based according to my personal opinion mostly on the judgement of the HR and the final HR phone call.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Deutsche Bahn.

    Interview Details

DB Systel is part of Deutsche Bahn AG, the German railway company.

The process went through several stages. After applying with CV and cover letter, I was asked about a week later to schedule a telephone interview. The interview was taken in German and English language. Questions were about why I wanted to do this co-operative studies, my knowledge about the company, knowledge about IT.

Two days latter I received an invitation to an assessment center about two weeks later. When I went there, we were a group of eight to be tested. Tests included logic (what is the next number), maths (some basic operations, however you had only little time and many operations), organisation skills (you are captain of a ship and have to deliever goods to several ports and get other goods from other ports in limited time), a presentation about yourself and a discussion group.

After the tests had been taken and all results had been checked I immediatly received an offer. I had to make a health and drug test before being able to go further and got my contract.
