Interviewed Feb 2011 in City of London, England (United Kingdom) (took 4+ weeks)
Everything was very professional, efficient, and high quality - they treated candidates well, in terms of nice building, nice lunch etc.
After an online application and online tests, I was invited for a 2 on 1 interview. This was competency based, fairly straightforward (nothing unexpected), and friendly, relaxed.
The second round had another maths exam, then 2 1:1 interviews - one fairly straightforward (why do you want to work here etc.), and the other was more friendly but a bit more unusual (how would you tell someone they weren't getting a bonus this year). Also had to give a presentation to 1 person, who didn't reveal a thing with her facial expressions!
Be yourself, know the company well (they have some unusual interests e.g. art), and don't be afraid to show a bit of personality! Just always keep it professional, they are quite a traditional firm.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in City of London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
Applied online for Spring into Banking program which would be held in the month of April.
Consisted in 1 round of interviews in London, 3 interviews two of which were competency based and one was technical. Also sat a numerical test at the beginning of the day, similar to the one done online but there were more questions and less time.
Interview Questions
1) Stressful situation
2) Teamwork where you had a different opinion, what did you do and what was the outcome?
3) Teamwork where you had a discussion, how did you solve it?
4) Situation when you had to explain something to someone who didnt understand
5) Something you have to improve and how you're working on it
You are given an Ivy (plant) which is set at the bottom of the wall. This Ivy grows at a rate which is squared the rate of the day before (ie. day 1: 1, day 2: 2, day 3: 4, day 4: 16, etc).
If we buy another Ivy plant, putting it on the opposite side of the wall, which performs in the same way to the first, how much time would we be gaining?
Negotiation Details
No negotiation. Got the offer immediately on leaving the premises.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in City of London, England (United Kingdom) (took 3 days)
First interview with Agency, they put me forward for the contract. CV Intially reject for being too technical. However they changed there mind and arranged a phone interview.
Phone interview was very technical and asked well thought out questions. You need to be on top of you area and the skills, make sure you have also reviewed the DB website.
Second interview was in person, some of the questions where the same as the previous and it was clear they had a check list of questions.
