Very Easy Interview

Graduate Trainee Interview

Graduate Trainee
Frankfurt am Main (Germany)

I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Deutsche Bank.

Interview Details – Online Application via homepage, feedback within a few days and then phone interview, chance to ask questions regarding the process and programme, invitation to personal interview: personal fit and a few questions regarding studies and internships as well as other practical eyperiences, chance to chat with other trainees during the break and gain insights about the daily routine

Interview Question – Question at a macro-level regarding the mentality/culture in the industry and proposition to meet the new challenges   Answer Question

Reason for Declining – Interviewers did not appear to be experienced and well-educated characters, doubt the chance to learn anything from them and grow within the company, appearance of a formalized and restricted working culture

Graduate Trainee Interview

Graduate Trainee
Johannesburg (South Africa)

I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Deutsche Bank in September 2013.

Interview Details – Received e-mail from the careers service at my university about the position at DB. Sent my cover letter, CV and transcripts through and was called for an interview 4-5 days later.

1st round interview was done by a recruiter from an external company. Interview was relatively straightforward and involved questions such as:
- describe an event where you had to convince others of my opinion
- describe a difficult situation and how i dealt with it
- etc. etc.

2nd round interview - met two managers over breakfast - myself and several other candidates. Each candidate had the opportunity to speak for a few minutes and give an overview of themselves.

Was not invited for a third round interview

Interview Question – Nothing particularly difficult or extraordinary   Answer Question
