Interviewed May 2012 in Jacksonville, FL (took a day)
Applied for the job online. Received a phone call only a few hours later. Excellent Phone interview, long, in depth, great detailed questions, good communication. Offer for a face to face interview the next day. As I arrived onsite the manager interviewed with the HR individual. Seemed to be good communication right off. The questions sort of ran off into the weeds at some points. The interviewer was NOT the hiring manager, it was another peer of the candidate. Interview lasted only 23 minutes, scheduled for 30 mins. I assume I did not get the job, no offer one week later(at this time). Office layout is one large open space, offices for directors and above only.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Jacksonville, FL (took 2 weeks)
Initial contact and phone interview was comfortable. Then came a second phone interview from the hiring manager. Then came the face to face interview with hiring manager and HR manager.
After that came weeks of silence. Upon follow up contact was told was still a candidate but looking at other candidates based on experience noted from my face to face interview.
It has been silence silence since then and never a letter sent out.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Jacksonville, FL (took 1 week)
Applied through OCR on my school's website. Interview started with a 1:1 with an MD, and then a 2:1 with analysts. Total time was an hour. Very friendly people which allowed me to be very personable and outgoing. Almost all personality/fit. Notified a week later that I received an offer.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Jacksonville, FL (took 3 weeks)
I submitted my resume and cover letter through the law school's symplicity website but this was not the regular on campus recruiting process. This was only one employer coming to interview students and alumni at the law school. The law school handled the arrangements and students picked their appointment time through simplicity once Deutsche Bank decided which day they wanted to have their interview. They brought in 2 people to handle the interviews, a woman and a gentleman from their Jacksonville, FL office. The woman was from their legal department and the gentleman is responsible for managing the office in Jacksonville. They were nice, friendly, congenial. They explained the responsibilities of the position for which they were hiring. They asked a few questions about my background. And they listened to my explanations and answeredmy questions. I have not heard back yet. The interview was this week.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Jacksonville, FL (took a day)
First I was emailed to schedule a phone interview. The human resources representative call right on time and the questions she asked were almost entirely in regards to my professional background. About a week later I was scheduled for an in-person interview at the Jacksonville campus. Multiple interviewers came in and out while I was speaking which appeared to be a sloppy distraction technique or at worst poor planning. As with the phone interview most of the questioning was focused on background, however there were some behavioral questions asked.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Jacksonville, FL (took a day)
They came on campus to interview for their operations positions and the interviews lasted about 30 minutes. They send over a VP from different divisions and its 1-1. They basically asked you about your experiences on your resume, asked why you wanted to work at DB, and what your goals were. Easy interview basically looking for fit. No technical questions.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
The position does not really offer the exposure I was looking to a traditional I-Bank environment. The ability to move up in the ranks through the back office is there but as far as making a vertical move it could pretty tough especially due to location and the caliber of work being conducted there. The pay is not to great either you are only required to work 40 hours and then anything extra is over time which you are compensated for. If you want to stay in Florida go down the street and get a job in PWM the pay will be better and the opportunities are greater.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Jacksonville, FL (took a day)
First round is very basic conversation with the HR. It went pretty well, and I didn't even feel she's screening off candidates. Second round is phone interview again with the manager of the department. He has heavy Indian accent and the conversation didn't flow very smooth. Didn't get called for an on-site.

Negotiation Details
I was not able to negotiate. I had graduated from college 6 months earlier and had no real world experience. I had not been working since college so i was desperate for any job. I had no leverage and therefore had no grounds to negotiate.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Jacksonville, FL (took 1 week)
The initial contact with Deutsche Bank was in response a job announcement through on campus recruitment. The HR office conducted a pseudo phone interview asking for salary expectations up front. The 1:1 interview was fairly informal with basic behavioral interview questions being asked. Personal contacts working within DB are happily employed however the compensation is low compared to other similar positions at competing firms.
