They want to know if you're comfortable with high pressure sales. Since it is not an easy product to sell, you have to be able to handle rejection well. If you persist when you do make a sale the commissions are very generous. You need to have very good people skills, because a lot of owners attend thinking they don't want to buy anything, they are just there to take advantage of the promotion. So you have to be able that buying has some great advantages they may not have considered.
- What annual income do you hope to make?

I received a call from a recruiter. He was very pleasant, went over most of the job requirements. Asked 6 questions and then proceeded to schedule the interview, that afternoon with the department manager. The department assistant manager was the person to conduct the interview. He was pleasant, but at the same time a bit condescending. He proceeded to tell me that he was going to be doing most of the talking. That he was going to tell me why he didn't want me to take the job, that threw me completely off. At that point I was ready to walk out of his office. Gave him a bit more time to explain why he said that. The position is required to handle every aspect of the customer service experience. Including selling vacation packages. I was not made aware of that during the phone interview. Had I been told that I would've said, then, thanks but no thanks. I'm a professional, and I believe that part particular sales process is not fully transparent. As soon as he mentioned that part of the job. Said that we would be evaluated every month, and written up if procedures weren't followed. Needed a fully availability commitment from me. Plus a 13 week training. Working Saturdays anytime from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. I thanked him for his time, and concluded the interview. No way am I willing to do what is required for the pay. As stated before I didn't get a good vibe from the interviewer. I could only imagine what it would be like to actually work for and under him. No way do I want part of working for this team.
Anonymous Interview Candidate in Las Vegas, NV
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Diamond Resorts (Las Vegas, NV) in Apr 2017
The interview process consisted of two interviews. The first was with a woman. She was great, very proactive and encouraging. She said I wsould be in the next class. The second was with a man. He was very unfriendly, rarely establishing any type of eye contact. He also made indirect negative comments about age. He was difficult to talk to and was quite off-putting. She indicated that she wanted to hire me but I have not heard back.
- How much was my last paycheck at my previous job? Why did I come to their company? Did I already have a license?
Anonymous Employee in Poipu, HI
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Diamond Resorts (Poipu, HI) in May 2016
It was a 3 interview process. I had a district manager I had to report to and follow up with. There was a lot of applicants and many questions and they were able to answer all of mine adequately and how I'd be able to understand. I came into this career not knowing anything about concierge and left the interview process with a thorough knowledge of what was expected of me my first day and so forth of this career. And I say career because I plan to do this forever.
- How do you feel about commission based jobs.

regular questions but the whole time instead of pumping up the workplace the interviewer try to talking you out of the job you start off with a typing test and then if you pass you move on to the interview, i was the only one who finished the typing quiz so i had more of a one on one interview i didn't feel very welcomed when signing all my paperwork.

Group interview with 3 supervisors. They were personable and took turns asking questions. They tried to make me comfortable with the process. This was via zoom and I had some technical issues but they did not make a big deal about it.
