I applied through an employee referral and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Diamond Wireless.
Interview Details – Hiring process is pretty simple. If you know someone who sold phones before, you could pretty much get in. They like to take the advice of their employees.
Interview Question – Not really any difficult or unexpected questions, They will always try to throw you for a loop in a sales interview. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There wasnt a negotiation phase. You are hired a minimum wage and paid either Commission for the pay period if you exceed $600 basically, or hourly rate; Whichever is higher.
I applied in-person and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Diamond Wireless in January 2013.
Interview Details –
This company still uses paper applications (in select cases you may be able to apply online via craigslist), which is rather unexpected, and they expect a resume in conjunction with the application that you should return in-person and dressed professionally, or your probability of consideration goes drastically down. (Dress code here is Shirt and Tie. Suits are not required, but are welcome.) Should you receive a call for an interview, it's (usually) two tiered. Your first interview will be with the store manager. If you pass, your second will be with the district manager, usually within the week, both in person, and both at the location for which you will be working. Questions are designed to be probing and vague (moreso than usual), in order to allow you to really showcase yourself, because they hire only Full-Time.
Advice for your interview: This company has a very competitive, "money-hungry" atmosphere. Answer from that perspective. See the sample question and answer.
Interview Question – Why should I hire you? View Answer
Negotiation Details – There is no negotiation. You are Full-time on Commission only.
