Interviewed Sep 2010 in Riverwoods, IL (took 2+ weeks)
HR Interview - The 1st step was a initial screening by the HR. Very general questions, nothing specific. Simple and nice. I was then scheduled for a phone interview about 2-3 days later
Phone Interview - The phone interview was with the Management. General behavioural questions ..nothing technical.
Face to face interview - After about a 1 week got a call for a face to face interview. Lot of technical questions specific to the job I had applied. Got a call after 1 week that I was hired !
Tip: Be confident and prepare for the interview. Definitely helps...

Interviewed May 2008 in Riverwoods, IL (took 1+ week)
Interview process was very speedy. Also was interviewing with competing banks. Discover beat the other companies to the punch and got the entire process done in almost a week: from first contact to offer letter in almost 8 business days.
Interview schedule was glitched up. They were placed too close to my flight time. The entire transport was arranged by Discover and they had scheduled my interview too close to my in and out flights. HR recruiter guy was a monkey and showed up in a sweatshirt to receive me. Never seen a less professional guy in my career. Lied about my visa application and I had to get help from my SVP to get the company to deliver on the promises they had made to me. Luckily I got his verbal promises to me in writing via email - he declined to include that in his offer letter.
Outside of that the process was smooth and very expected.
Round 1: Phone screen by HR and phone interview by hiring manager and panel.
Round 2: 3 or 4 technical interviews. Average difficulty.
Work culture is very family oriented. Benefits were quite good especially tuition program (now measly).

Negotiation Details
Negotiation around salary was not very hard. My main focus was my greencard application. Company recruiter lied to me that they will apply for me right away. HR is incompetent when it comes to visa applications and it is a must that you direct this aspect yourself.
Sign on + relocation bonus was $15k.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Riverwoods, IL (took 2 months)
The company came to my undergrad business school to recruit. The first round consisted of two back-to-back interviews: a behavioral interview and a short case. Selections are made based on these interviews, and the next step is held on the Discover campus near Chicago (Riverwoods). The day involved a panel discussion with other candidates and managers, as well as 3 more 1:1 interviews.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
Discover seemed to be a great company to start at, and I came very close to taking this offer. The main reasons why I declined it were that I'm looking for a career in finance, and this position didn't have the rotations I was hoping for in this field. I was told by others that the experience at Discover wouldn't transfer as well as the position I ultimately took, because it is fairly specific to the credit card industry. Additionally, the pay wasn't bad, but for a company that recruits at top schools I was surprised the offer came in below my school's average for finance/accounting.

Interviewed Jun 2008 in Chicago, IL (took a day)
The first round of interviews is on campus. They do a case study-- consulting style--- and a behavor type interview. The case study is pretty straight forward and is less theoretical than a consulting firm might give. They'll ask you actual industry related questions and you'll need to do some math and analysis to figure it out. The behavior based interview is also really easy, they're mostly looking to see if you fit in. The second round is just 3 more behavior based interviews.

Interviewed May 2008 in Riverwoods, IL (took 2 days)
The interview process was a breeze. They took us up North to their headquarters. I was unfamiliar with the area but they put us up in a nice hotel right by the offices and catered to us all the way. They took us out to some cool fish restaurant, Bob Chinns? They split us up and sent us off to interview 1:1 with three different managers.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Riverwoods, IL (took a day)
The interview was on campus, and consisted of a half hour case interview, and another half hour of behavioral questions. The case component centered around coming up with strategies, downsides, benefits, and general things to consider about strategies associated with how to contact customers who were behind on payments. Finally there was a very specific case with a series of probabilities. I was required to calculate the overall probability of success of a strategy based on these probabilities. Grab a pen, and focus, and you'll be alright.
The second half of the interview was behavioral. Started with the walk me through your resume, why Discover, why this position, and then the behavioral questions.
I actually thought the case that involved the probabilities was fairly difficult. Definitely felt a little dry as well. Not a very exciting introduction to the financial services world, and definitely the most technical interview I had of the 8 places I interviewed.
Interview Questions
50% chance of having their e-mail on file
20% chance of a customer paying their bill without us contacting them
30% chance of a customer reading the e-mail we send them
30% chance of a customer making a payment if they read the e-mail
etc.

The interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Skills Test.
