Applied in person. Brought in filled out typed application, met with Store Manager. Interviewed then took a assesment test, passed, was offered a job pending the drug test. Passed, accepted the position

Interviewed May 2010 in Krum, TX (took a day)
Walked in on job fair. Filled the last position at the last minute. It took less than 30 minutes- which was just me learning about the drug test, info about the store, how long it would take to get through the screening process and when I'd expect a call. I was never asked questions about my experience. I was told what to say when I start my position. I was asked what hours I would be available to work.
After a week there, I was told the tore manager didn't need a new person but took me anyway. Could explain my treatment.

No negotiation. I was told the pay would be $9.00/ hour. I took it after seeing the average pay on this website.

I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

The phone interview was great, even though very brief. Arrived to the store location only to find the dm was not there and nobody had heard from her. When she did finally get there and set-up, she seemed very disconnected with me and more concerned about a cart out of place. It was NOT an interview at all, but more of a way for her to tell me about her 2 months that she had been there and how hard the job was. I was turned off by her negativity, especially being so new. Then she went into a 20 minute rant about how they do drug tests and at random too. Not sure if she was upset for her own abuse or accusing me. Either way, why would she think that this type of information was more important than any of the work experience I was trying to share?? Overall, this would be the last place or person I would ever work for!

Applied in store. Recieved call for interview a few days later. Normal questions were asked. Manager reviewed my past jobs. store i went to was in need of an assistant manger which was a plus. 1 on 1 interview was done. walked the store and met all other employees. Recieved off few days later. Drug test and background test was done
