    Quality Lab Technician Interview

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Dr Pepper Snapple Group in April 2014.

    Interview Details

The interview process can be daunting at first because you face a panel of three supervisors, but it gets easy once you figure out what they are looking for. They were mostly standard questions like "What is your weakness?", "How would you resolve a scenario where your falling behind and have urgent things to get done?", etc. There were several scenario situations. So be prepared for those. If you have ever worked as a QA before, its all scenarios that you face on almost a daily basis so that's why I say it gets easier once you figure out what they want. They called within a week after the interview to inform me of their decision.

    Interview Questions
    • What would you do when your running behind time, have something urgent to test, which then fails the tests?   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
Sadly there wasn't much of a negotiation. They give you a set offer based on what the QA dept is paying and its up to you to accept or decline.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Dr Pepper Snapple Group.

    Interview Details

They call for resumes. After about 1 or 2 weeks from the deadline they send an e-mail informing you if they'd like to set up and interview when they are in town. Interview time is set up and held with 3 interviewers. Interview is both personality and technical. An ingredient functionality question is usually asked. Another technical question I had was about the things to consider when estimating shelf life of a new flavor of Hawaiian punch. Interview is about 25 min. They contact with offer about 2 weeks after interview.

    Interview Questions
    • Reading ingredients on a yoo-hoo box. I had prepared for snapple but not a yoo-hoo and there were a few ingredients I didn't know functionality for. Also, they gave a presentation the night before to students which I missed. When I got to ask questions one of the interviews condescendingly informed me they answered the question the night before.   Answer Question

2.) Background Screening: explains how to provide the necessary info to conduct background screening (third-party)
