I applied through an employee referral – interviewed at Draeger Medical.

    Interview Details

Interview process consisted of two phone interviews and then a half-day of in-person interviews with various groups of people. The two phone interviews were with HR and the hiring manager separately. The in-person interviews were with groups of 2-5 people (of various roles in the R&D department) and lasted about 30-60 minutes each. Everyone was extremely nice and professional

I applied online. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Draeger Medical in July 2011.

    Interview Details

I was called one week after submitting my resume and completed a brief phone interview with basic questions related to my experience and background. Nothing difficult or out of the ordinary. Following the phone interview I was scheduled for a one on one interview, immediately to be followed by an interview by my would-be manager. The one on one interview was conducted by the HR rep, and was fairly painless. The usual questions and answers. I was then informed I would actually be interviewing with a group of individuals. It was basically the same as interviewing with one person. The same number of questions, spread out over 3 people and 3 personalities.

    Negotiation Details
I found the salary was really non-negotiable since it wasn't discussed in person. It was an offer letter with a salary provided. I did ask if the salary was negotiable and the response was I was free to formally negotiate the salary, by declining the offer and taking it from there. I didn't want to take the chance and simply accepted.

I was given feedback within 3 days of the interview and it turned out to be positive.

    • There were no particularly difficult questions. The feedback I received later on was that not all interviewers were convinced that I had enough experience which looking at it in all reality was a valid concern.
