Interviewed Feb 2010 in Chicago, IL (took 4+ weeks)
I got in touch with the company through a friend and got an informational interview with the HR person. We scheduled the interview a couple of times but the HR had to cancel both times. Finally we were able to connect and had a 25 minutes information interview that was really easy. I was immdediately called in for a CI test. Everyone in the company takes it. The test was ok ,not too easy not too hard. They try to test your powerpoint and analytical skills. They said they would call to discuss the test, whatever the outcome but after the test, no one ever got in touch. I called a couple of times and sent a few emails but nothing worked.
I'm not sure what happened. The HR kept forgeting to get in touch since the onset, so I have to say I was not surprised!

Interviewed Apr 2010 (took 4 days)
The time between my resume submission and the call was about a month. From there I had an in person interview. The interviewer was very kind and informative. It was difficult and I felt she was very honest about the job. Admitting it would be a lot of work and long hours. The pay was not great for the hours and level of stress.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 3 days)
The recruiter was very encouraging and honest. The interview process was okay, but the employees didn't really seem to know what they were doing. They are new to this area and it showed.

Reason for Declining
I don't believe that they have enough direction. I couldn't see this as a long term option.

Interviewed Jun 2008 in South San Francisco, CA (took 2 days)
met with various media people in the department and everyone was friendly. seemed more like they knew that i could do the work and they wanted to see if i was a cultural fit
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
they do not neogtiate, they are very old school about being "fair" with pay which is archaic.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
Initially contacted my their corporate HR by email for the initial discussion -- that one took about 1.5 weeks before we actually had the conversation. Went in a week later to meet with senior managers. The first manager had not reviewed my resume prior to the interview and, knew nothing about my background, skills etc. which made for a rather simple interview of exchanging work related banter without any real substance to the conversation. However, I found her to be a delightful person in enthusiasm and demeanour. Her manager was scheduled to interview me next but had already left for another meeting.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Chicago, IL (took 3+ weeks)
Was very difficult to maintain contact with HR despite their interest in speaking with me. Nearly a month passed between first contact and initial interview. Was kept waiting for 45 minutes past scheduled start time and interviewer could not answer basic questions about company - current hot accounts, team culture, future development. Very disappointed.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Chicago, IL (took 1 week)
Applied on Monster, got a phone call within a week, they wanted me to come in to their office. No phone interview, just 1:1. Questions were pretty basic, tell me about a time you had a problem with a group, 3 words to describe yourself, etc. Very laid back. Waiting to hear back about if I made it to the next round in which I will meet with the team.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took 2 weeks)
Draftfcb uses very junior associates to screen for even very senior positions. They clearly have a regimented process from which they do not alter. Even at a senior level with a referral from another senior member of their management team, I had to interview with a very junior h.r. associate, which was unproductive. I did meet with other leaders on the senior management team, but the time was very limited and it was very much more of a rudimentary interview than a discussion about the business and how we could approach growing it. I would have liked to have had a much more in-depth conversation with them regarding creative solutions to existing problems. In the end, it was not a fit for either of us. I did enjoy meeting some of the senior leaders on their team and I think they have a good agency.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Chicago, IL (took a day)
Did resume drop and was contacted for a in person interview. Interview questions were fairly standard..."tell me about yourself.." etc. Asked a lot of specific questions about why I was interested in advertising and why I wanted to work at draft specifically. Also asked biggest weakness etc. Was first interview so was unprepared but not too difficult.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Chicago, IL (took a day)
Did on-campus recruiting. It started out with a behavioral interview conducted by an entry-level member of the company. Then they selected among these people for a second interview with the recruiting coordinator. It was pretty low key-- they seemed enthusiastic about the company and about what they did. Asked your basic marketing questions: what's your favorite brand, how would you market product X, etc.

Negotiation Details
They're pretty open to negotiations, but the salary level is fixed for interns.
