Interviewed May 2011 (took 6 weeks)
Initial recruiting contact came through Linked In -- they called me. First interview with recruiter lasted almost 3 hours. After that they set me up with multiple peer interviews, meetings with sales reps I would be working with and several senior management interviews. This took place over several weeks.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 3 weeks)
The interview process consisted of a telephone interview with both technical questions, situational questions, background discussions, education, as well as questioning what future plans and goals would be for me. The one on one interview were much more personality like interviewing and a "get to know" one another. More touch like.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 5 days)
Blazing fast process. Initial phone technical screen followed by detailed technical phone interview with fellow architect. Video conference with hiring manager followed by nice offer. I had great experience during this process and was impressed with the urgency to get me on board once they were comfortable with my skils. If EMC feels you are right fit they will jump trough the hoops to get you on board.

Reason for Declining
EMC offer was very enticing and I thought long and hard before I declined their offer. Unfortunately for EMC I was offered my dream job at the local company at the last minute.

Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 5 days)
I was contacted by a recruiter who allocated 30 minutes and seemed very rushed. I was contacted by the Hiring Manager the next day. He seemed polite and very interested in my qualifications. His boss contacted me a couple of days later and spoke to me on the phone as well. The internal recruiter proceeded to contact me and said that the Hiring Managers were very interested and wanted to meet me in 2 days so that I could present to them. The pace of the interview process steps was extremely fast. The Hiring Manager mentioned that the presentation would be informal and that they just wanted to get to know me and see how I would respond to their questions. Oddly enough, when I conducted the presentation, their feedback was geared toward a formal client presentation. The Hiring Manager made some strange comments about my suit buttons and asked "will I find problems with your background check like other people we hired in the past?", which left a poor impression.
Three weeks after my interview, they sent me an email stating that they still consider me a candidate and will let me know in several weeks regarding possible next steps.
I wouldn't hold my breath with these folks!

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 1+ week)
I was found through LinkedIn by an internal recruiter. She screened me and coordinated a face to face with the regional manager who worked mostly out of town, but routinely rolled through the offices in my town. He mentioned having a followup with the local manager, but that was not followed up on. I'm not sure if I blew any specific question or didn't have enough hands on that they would have preferred. Never heard back from them. The internal recruiter did not respond to my email after the interview. The interviewer was not following a script and likely hired on emotional connection or his gut feelings.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took 2 months)
Recruiter called me and explained the requirement. Had 3 phone interviews with Technology directors and in person discussions with team i was "supposed" to join in. Whole process took 2 months to complete especially because of the slow response from their side. I had to sent 10 emails and phone calls atleast to proceed to next step. Ultimately everything went fine and then the waiting begins.. No response for 1.5 weeks and ultimately recruiter called me only to say that because of "strategy changes", they are not able to forward an offer. I was sad but glad it is finally over.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I was initially contacted by an internal recruiter over a month after I had applied on the company website. The recruiter was very nice and helpful and the process seemed to go very quickly at first. I had a total of 5 interviews consisting of the following: 1. Recruiter screen; 2. Technical screen; 3. Behavioral interview; 4. Hiring manager interview; 5. Face to face interview at the company headquarters. During the whole process the following strange things happened: the person doing the technical screen forgot she had a meeting and asked me to reschedule the interview; the hiring manager was talking to his neighbor during the phone interview and repeatedly put me on hold for said discussion; the original recruiter disappeared during the entire process and was replaced by another recruiter who acted as if the initial recruiter had never been involved (I tried to call the original recruiter one day before my face to face only to discover that his phone number had been disconnected!); lastly, the face to face interview was mostly pointless and consisted of his asking me questions and never letting me answer. It was this last interview that sealed my decision.

Reason for Declining
I had received another offer during the middle of the interview process, but I wanted to follow this particular process through to its conclusion in case they made a better offer. I was so put off by the last (face to face) interview that I decided to decline the offer with this company and go with the offer from another company - which, in the end, was better paid, had more interesting responsibilities and less travel.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Bangalore (India) (took 4 weeks)
Looked promising initially , Interview process took around 4 weeks , After clearing the manager round I was promised an offer and was asked to wait for a few weeks as approval process would take quite some time.
After 6 weeks of waiting I was told that they couldn't match my salary .They should have realized this before they called me for an interview .. Waste of time .

Interviewed May 2010 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 4 weeks)
Spent a while doing a test which was relatively simple and being asked questions by people that were obviously good, but in my view were not lateral thinkers. I was disappointed by some of the interviewers in terms of their technical ability and also their ability to interview.
Nice people.
