Interview Details – I first had two phone interviews. The first was from HR up at corporate, the second was a manager from the local office. After the second phone interview, I had an in person interview, and he wanted to meet me at a local restaurant, as opposed to the office, which was a nice change.

Interview Question – There was some technical questions, like what type of RAID configurations you would use in different scenario's, differences between SAN/NAS, pretty much basic storage questions.   Answer Question

Interview Details – The day started off with a group interview where 6 individuals including myself were able to ask current SAs any questions we wished. Then we were asked to conduct a ice breaker activity. After that we were split and each had three 45 min interviews.

Interview Details – The hiring manager and interviewing team were very professional and respectful of my time. I met with the hiring manager (now my manager), an SVP, as well as the general manager and someone in mergers. The recruiting manager called me frequently with helpful information about the process. I had 1 phone screen and an in-person 4 hour interview, after which point I received an offer.

Interview Question – What's a specific scenario where you've handled a disagreement?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I was able to get additional stock options but they did not move on the salary. It was a fair offer to being with.

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Seattle, WA Mar 2012 – Reviewed Feb 15, 2013

Interview Details – Initially there were phone screenings. A lot of time on the white board going through technical problems. There were multiple people that questioned me. Afterwards there was a lot of follow up to put together a job package that actually made sense for me.

I was recruited so I may have had a different treatment than others.

Interview Question – I was ask how to encode a tree structure in as few bits as possible.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – It went on for about a month and I was brought back in to talk with more managers at my request.

Interview Details – The Interview was 3 hours long. Met with the first person who asked situational questions (not too technical). The second person jumped in with a few more questions (situation and business / project management related). Met with the boss who asked both situational / project management and technical engineering questions.

Talked further about position and expectations, etc.

Interview Question – Nothing difficult but a lot of questions geared more towards the business side of the company.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – The offer was the offer. I had another offer on the table for more but EMC was a much better fit.
