Interviewed Jul 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took 4 days)
I found the position on Linked In and applied even though it was in San Francisco and I currently reside in Chicago. The Recruiters were very prompt in responding to my application and started the process. From then on everything moved rather quickly, which was a releif to me. Everyone was great about getting the interviews scheduled and completed, which told me that I was high on everyone's priority list. In total I spoke with 5 people in separate offices across the country, which can get tricky when dealing with multiple schedules across multiple time zones. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating and put me at ease, making each conversation just that, a conversation rather than an interrogation.
All in all I would say that the process was very positive and everyone was accomodating to my schedule, allowed plenty of time for my questions, and we very personable. I am very excited about this opportunity and I can't wait to get started!

Interviewed May 2011 in Washington, DC (took 2 weeks)
I was referred by a current employee but ultimately contact by the recruiter through LinkedIn. Three phone interviews and two in-person interviews, all with VP level employees or above. The process was quick, painless and very straightforward - I never felt like games were being played or that my time was not being valued. Although the comments regarding work/life balance and culture at first seemed like a sales pitch, they've ultimately turned out to be true.

Negotiation Details
When I received my initial offer it was for a nominal salary increase and a lateral title change - a definite deal breaker. Once I explained this, Edelman bumped up the salary and title, but it was not until I used a counter-offer from my current employer that I was able to get the dollar amount I was looking for. In fairness I had not been firm about my salary expectations, but I did feel like some games were being played during this process.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 months)
I was referred by an SAE and encouraged to talk with their new SVP of digital. The SVP was a great guy, got along fantastically in our several conversations but it was tough to get specifics of the position from the HR person. I didn't get the position title, a job descripton or a salary range until the last meeting I had. Even though it was a digital strategy position, I had to take the writing test. Not a bad experience per se but the HR and SVP didn't communicate very well and it tuned out the position they wanted me for fell into a category about 2 levels below where I was in my career. I made my salary requirements and position details very clear to the SVP but the HR person was left out of that conversation. Kind of sucks because had I known those details I would not have spent money flying myself down twice.

Interviewed Sep 2010 (took 3 days)
i had applied for a position that was posted by a 3rd party website. After 2 weeks, i received a call from this company for a 1 on 1 interview. I spoke to the secretary at that point until i found out whom i would have been working under. This person was very nice but was also very busy. We reschedule to take an assessment exam to see how well i understood certain topics regarding the position. Suffice it to say, i submitted my work and never heard back from them. I can only assume i didnt do well on the exam since i did not get any feedback what so ever (even after repeated attempts to asking the status of my application) within the time frame of 4 weeks.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in New York, NY (took a day)
Beautiful Reception Area with a "Minority Report" monitor on the coffee table. Pleasant interviewers, HR is also very professional and courteous in the email correspondence.
Unfortunately, the job ended up not being a good fit but the experience was a good practice for other interviews to come.
