Interviewed Jan 2012 in Tempe, AZ (took 2 months)
After filling out a very extensive application online, I was contacted by a recruiter about a month after applying. My first call with the recruiter lasted about 5 minutes. She asked about my background and why I was interested in EdJones. She set up a time for a full phone interview. I was also given about 15 pages of background info. to complete and fax in to continue with the interview process. I sent this in the following day.
A few days later, I had the phone interview where I was asked a few behavioral questions. The interview lasted 15-20 minutes. At the end of the phone interview, my recruiter scheduled me for an in-person interview.
About a week later, I had my first in-person interview. The interviewers asked me several behavioral questions. I was told I would hear back in 2-3 weeks. About two weeks later, I received an email saying the position had been filled. Later the same day, my recruiter called and said that they offered the spot to an internal candidate, but since they really liked me, they wanted me to interview for another position.
A week later I had my first interview with the other department. This interview consisted of more behavioral questions, and I was interviewing with a different couple of team leaders. It lasted about an hour. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks again before I'd hear anything. I got a call the next day to come in for a last interview.
Another week later, I had my final interview with two more team leaders. It lasted about 45 minutes, and I was asked the exact same questions that I had been asked in the previous interview. After this interview, I was immediately offered a job.
I had to complete a drug test within 48 hours. It took about a week and a half for my drug and background check to come back. I started work a month later.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Phoenix, AZ (took a day)
I went to a job fair and talked with an Edward Jones talent acquisition specialist. After talking with them and leaving my resume, within 48 hours I was contacted by email with an offer to apply. I applied online which turned out to be a detailed application of background and work history. Upon completion of the online application within 48 hours I was contacted by email once again and offered a phone interview. The phone interview was a series of behavioral and situational questions. Immediately after the interview the interviewee offered me an opportunity to do a face to face interview which is where I am currently at in the process. I am finding this website to be a valuable resource in my preparation for my face to face interview.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Phoenix, AZ (took 2+ weeks)
Interviewed through campus recruiting. Initial resume screening, then invited for a 1 on 1 interview. Mostly behavioral questions, with some technical financial questions, and current events. Asked to final interview about 2 weeks later. Final interview consisted of a 45 minute 1:3 interview - only behavioral questions, just to make sure you are a good fit and have a personality. Offer extended the next day.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Phoenix, AZ (took 4 weeks)
Interviewed first on campus then at the headquarters in Tempe, AZ. Fairly standard interview questions based on my resume and company culture. Nothing to technical. Several, 1:1 interviews, some over video conference. Everyone was friendly and it was fairly laid back, they didn't try to put you on the spot so much like some interviews.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in Tempe, AZ (took 6+ weeks)
It took forever. I had a phone interview, and the next week I had my face to face. It was with someone totally different, then during the interview the Team Lead was very "show boat" type. I later got a phone call that said that I got the job, and that I had to do 10 years of home addresses and 10 years of work places. My paper work got messed up, and Eward Jones only does their "day one" every two weeks so I had to wait another two weeks to actually start the job.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Tempe, AZ (took 2 weeks)
After the initial phone interview, I was invited up to Tempe to meet with a managing partner and two team leaders. Each asked what I knew about the company, they quizzed me on the market, and asked me some questions on investment strategies. There appeared to be a positive, competitive atmosphere among the employees. The interviews went very well. I was not made an offer, because I was charged with four misdemeanors (disturbing the peace, littering, noise violation, resisting arrest) on spring break in 2002, and they said that they didn't think they could get me bonded.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Phoenix, AZ (took 5 weeks)
The phone interview consisted of questions related to information I had put on my online application. Most of the questions followed a theme of: What did you do? or What have you done? Why are you a good fit?
1:1 interview addressed my experiences with the surveys I completed. The $100,000 dollar question came up in my interview.

Long and detailed. They put a lot of emphases on how tough this job really is and they don't hide the fact that it is very hard with very long hours and very little pay. You are building your own business just as you would if you had your own products or services. The big difference is they are paying you and they are covering the expenses of the office, technology, support and assistance.
Try starting your own company without any out of pocket expenses. And if you don't have the will to succeed then it will not work.
