Interviewed Feb 2011 (took a day)
Applied on-line, was called for phone interview, did well, and was approved for face-to-face. Traveled out of town and overnight. There were many people interviewing over a period of 2-3 days. Unfortunately, I'm a Southern belle and my panel was two gents from NYC! I wouldn't change a thing about how I answered the questions, however. The interview questions were the regular behavior-based questions. Don't forget to ask for the job and do get business cards (which I neglected to do). I did ask for feedback and offered a copy of my brag book, but they said they weren't allowed to say anything or accept the book. The group was told a specific timeframe during which we would know if we would receive an offer or not. It has been four weeks since the interview and I have still not received my expense reimbursement nor notification either way.

The second interview was a 2:1 panel interview. There were few personal questions, just a heavy focus on the drugs to be sold.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 2 weeks)
Phone Interview lasted only 15 minutes (scheduled for 30). Interviewer was very pleasant, call came from a contracted company in Ohio. Told I would hear something in 10-14 days. Received email 3 hours later to fax info and transcripts. F2F coming up.....flying to another city for the interview (paid by Lilly) and I was told it would be a 45 min panel interview with 2 or 3 people.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 2 weeks)
Applied for a position on the company website, was immediately asked to complete a personality test. Upon completion, I was contacted within a week to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was hard, it is an outside company asking the questions. It is behavioral based so use STAR answers. Know what a Pharma rep does on a daily basis and why you want Lilly, also be ready with answers to past situations in your past work experience. The person on the phone will not give you any feedback, they type your answers, very robotic...not an pleasant experience. None the less you will know within a few hours if you made it on to the next step. They told me two weeks, I heard back within 3 hours. They ask for transcripts and for you to fill out an official app. Within a few days of faxing the app in I was scheduled for an interview in LA. I applied for a position in Denver. They flew me out and paid for everything. The interview in LA was awesome, it consisted of a panel of 2 higher mangers in the company. They worked through my resume with me, why I wanted pharma, why Lilly, what I knew about the products Lilly sold, and questions I had for them. I thought it went well and was surprised when I heard back I was not selected. A lot of competition for these roles, but it was a positive and efficient process. I heard back within a week of the outcome, do your homework for the interviews, know what your applying for...Although I do not know what else would have been needed to move on, good experience regardless.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 2 days)
My interview process consisted of two phone interviews. The final phone interview replaced an in-person interview because the interviewer was and could not make it on campus. My interviewer could not have been a nicer person, and was extremely helpful with answering questions that I had about the position.
For this position, the interview was largely behavioral based. They pretty much asked you about experiences in which you lead a team, negotiated something, persuaded someone, analyzed something, was coached, and offered constructive criticism.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 1 week)
Filled out online application. This application was followed by an onliine personality/fit test. This asked questions in different ways to get information about you. Got an email saying that I had been selected to go forward to phone interview. Selected online times/days good for me. Phone Interviewer asked behavioral questions. Asked about my background (work and education). Asked about my college GPA to confirm it was above what Lilly requires -- I think 2.75. Asked me what was my most significant work experience. Discussed fixed duration position and confirmed I was ok with this. Also, discussed pay range and bonus at target. Interviewer confirmed that this amount would be satisfactory to me. Said that he would recommend me to go forward. The next step would be a panel interview for 30-45 minutes. Application would be sent via email for information they would need IF Lilly extends job offer. Got this email within hours of phone interview.
