I applied in-person - interviewed at Emeritus Senior Living in September 2012.

Interview Details – They falsified the job description from what the job entails in reality. They told me no weekends or holidays...not so, required to work the weekend before and after Christmas AND New Years. Including Christmas and New Years Days. said job would be building relationships, in the senior living community and with families. It was STRAIGHT up Marketing and relationships based on lies. They tell you to LIE.

Interview Question – I can't think of anything difficult about the interview.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Emeritus Senior Living in December 2010.

Interview Details – The job was described during the interview as being an external marketing position which would require one to be out of the bldg. about 6 hours a day. The job was described as being flexible--if you worked late one evening or on the weekend, you got to flext your time. Once I started, I was told by the regional that the company doesn't have flex time and you are expected to be available 7 days per week to conduct tours and respond to lead inquiries etc. The way they presented the job and bonus potential is very different from the reality you learn after you start.

Negotiation Details – Ask for the specific bonus plan during the interview. They will tell you it's attainable, however, you have to have 3 or 4 move-ins per month to qualify for a bonus which is only $100 per move-in. You do not get paid individually for each move-in. So if you only get 2 or 3 in a month, you don't get paid. You have to reach your quota. They didn't explain this during the interview. They also didn't tell you that you cannot take any vacation time until you've been there 6 months or a year depending on your executive director.
