The process took a day - interviewed at Emeritus Senior Living in May 2010.

Interview Details

After receiving a call from an HR rep, you either are declined or asked for an interview. After checking in with the front desk, the department manager comes to meet you and give you a tour back to their office. During a short 1-on-1they give you a brief overview of the position, company background and culture, and ask about your experience. Afterwards, they escort you to a conference room where you meet with ~4 of their department team members. They ask a couple "interview" questions before some personal questions to get a feel for you. Afterwards, manager returns and takes yo to their office. They ask if you have any more questions, if you were hired when you could start, etc. They conclude by thanking you and escorting you to the entrance and thanking you for coming by.

Negotiation Details
There was no opportunity for negotiation. When you are asked if you have any questions, that is your only opportunity to discuss compensation. Since Emeritus does not post position pay, having a general idea of the normal pay for similar jobs is very beneficial.
