Interviewed Apr 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 days)
My experience was very different because I went through the in house temp service. Typically the interview process at Emory is long and drawn out, but I was called on a Thursday went in for the interview on a Monday and was offered the job that same day. I was at work a few days later.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 months)
Had a phone interview and then on site interview with direct team I would be working with, marketing team, CIO and another manager. From my perspective the interview went well. They asked why did I want to work for Emory and to describe my work experience. They where late to the in person interview. Unfortunately the process took WAY too long 2 months. I had two interviews in the mean time from other companies with offers before I even got an update no longer under consideration. So regardless of an offer I would of had to turn it down.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took a day)
The interview process was standard for the field involving a site visit, multiple meetings with different faculty members, and a presentation to the department. People were very friendly, honest and helpful. However, I knew the people I was interviewing with from professional meetings. I also already had an offer, so the interview was more for me to decide if I wanted to work at Emory.

Negotiation Details
Unfortunately Emory standardizes the pay scale for postdocs according to the NIH payline. You can negotiate additional salary, but this is very difficult.
Other Details
I applied In-Person and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview and a Presentation.

Recieved email asking if I was interested in the position. I came in for a one-on-one interview with the executive admin. assistant. Went over resume and discussed myself and goals. Next, I met the rest of the department. Basically, discussed my resume and told them about myself.

Interviewed Feb 2008 in Atlanta, GA (took 2+ weeks)
The interview procedure is standard, just ask some technique in my resume and ask me some plan. Then I was taken to the lab and look around. The whole process just take 1 hour. I think the lab professor then made decision.

Interviewed Aug 2008 in Atlanta, GA (took a day)
I applied directly to the PI. Initial communication was through email, followed that by a phone interview. The phone interview was confined to science; mostly my research, what interests me about the lab, etc. I was then invited to visit the lab, interact with other members of the lab, meet faculty members with whom we collaborate and then a presentation.
I was offered the job within 48 hours.
The whole process from the initial contact to the offer stage took only 2 weeks.
