Interviewed Dec 2011 in Madison, WI (took 3 days)
I've made it through 2/3 of the interview process. I applied online and then was contacted by Epic to do a personality/math test. Really easy math and the logic problems are about the only thing that take time. After I took the test, I had a really easy phone interview where I ended up asking more questions than the interviewer. Then was asked to set up a final interview day at Epic

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 2 months)
The HRs are super non-efficient! It took them forever to arrange the written test. It was handled by 2 HRs, and obviously they do not communicate with each other, so I have to tell the same thing twice every time!

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Madison, WI (took 5 weeks)
The interview process started with a personality and basic math test, followed by a brief phone interview. The phone interview was fairly basic consisting of mostly questions about my interest in Epic and educational background. I was then selected for the on-site interview day in Madison. The day was long, but very structured and organized. There was a 2 person case analysis, one on one interview, 10 minute presentationa and some testing. The testing is basically SAT type questions related to verbal and math skills. The process took about 5 weeks and I was offered the position after recieving a phone call from the recruiter. Be prepared and you will do fine.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Madison, WI (took 2 days)
Long process with online application, IQ test, phone interview (informational), logic/math/programming test, and on-site interview. Overall was very relaxed. Fun work environment.
Presentation is open topic. Had very relaxed presentation with receptive audience. Other meetings primarily consisted of informational sessions and a 1:1 interview with the recruiter. Meals with employees and prospectives were also very relaxed and gave a more fun and personal connection.

Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 7 weeks)
After reading all of the horrible reviews about this place on glassdoor, I was very skeptical about applying. But, who else is hiring young people these days, right?
In any case, they seemed relatively on top of things at the beginning. I applied to a few of the jobs on their website and they sent an automated response back soon after. The next day they asked me to fill out a personality test online. About a week later they scheduled a phone interview. During the interview I got a call from a number I didn't recognize. After I completed the interview I checked my voice mail and my email to find that someone else from Epic had called me. I called back and the girl proceeded to ask me all of the same questions that the first woman had asked. I played along. Midway through, she realized that I had been "double booked" and she apologized for wasting my time. A week later they asked me to go to a testing facility to take a math and programming test (apparently they ask everyone to take this regardless of whether or not you know how to program). I took the test the next day. A week later, they sent me the same email about going to a testing facility. Within minutes of receiving that email, they sent me another email saying that they had received my test results. After about three weeks hearing nothing, I emailed to check on the status of my application. A girl responded telling me that they had already emailed me (which they never did) telling me that they had moved on with other applicants. The next day, someone else sent me another email to tell me the same thing.
Honestly, I never wanted to work in Madison anyway. And if this horribly unorganized interview process is any indication of how things are run at Epic, I would never want to work there either.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Madison, WI (took 8 weeks)
Interview process in Madison is grueling. My day consisted of four hours of testing, a presentation on a topic of my choosing, interviews, and demos. Epic definitely knows who they are looking for and has a system down for which kind of people succeed in which roles. Be patient with their HR department and stay confident as you jump through their hoops.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
I applied just for the hell of it. Seemed like good and meaningful work, but I wasn't sure Epic was the place for me. Was applying for a position as project manager, but they redirected me into a problem solver application. Had a quick phone chat with someone in the department, very straightforward. Then two weeks later, sat for a few exams. Didn't hear back for a long while, though I didn't really show interest during that period. Eventually heard back that they would go another direction.
Overall, the process was not difficult just rather inefficient. Initially I was exchanging e-mails with a bunch of people and I felt the whole process could have been streamlined.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Verona, WI (took 3 days)
I applied online and got a phone interview. I was then invited to their campus for an initial interview and a skills test (rather difficult, but not impossible). I interviewed with HR. I received a follow up call that they wanted me to come back to interview with specific departments. I spent the day there including a lunch at their amazing cafeteria. I had two interviews that day along with another round of interviews with HR. After a week, I received a call from my recruiter saying that I didn't get either job, but that they really liked me and wanted me to come back to interview for two different positions. So, I went back again. spent another 3 hours there. One of the two interviews went really well. The other one was with a guy who was too busy to give me the time of day (he was working on his computer during the interview). I again got a call saying they were going a different direction. So, after 4 interviews (including one by phone) and 3 trips to their campus, I got offered nothing. This process took over two months and was nothing more than a waste of time.

Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 3 months)
Very relaxed and smooth. Sent the personality test, a few weeks later got the invite for a phone interview. Very casual phone interview, just a get to know you and brief resume run-over. Got invited to take the IQ test, chose my location very straight forward. Next set up a on-site interview, and will update this after!
