Interviewed Dec 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
Started with a personality test which took about 15 minutes. Then a phone interview with just basic questions... "Why Epic?" etc. Then a math and programming test (25 minutes). Finally an on campus interview which consisted of tours, demonstration of the software, an English test, and 2 short interviews.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 5 weeks)
The person I spoke with during the phone interview seemed rather unintelligent and sounded like she was chewing on candy during the entirety of the interview. After that there were tests involved that seemed incredibly unrelated to the position. Overall it wasn't awful, just lackluster.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Madison, WI (took 2 weeks)
The phone interview was almost too easy. I talked to a software developer and he asked me very little. What he did ask me was non-technical.
The in-person interview was straightforward. There were a variety of one-on-one interviews, but mostly I interviewed them instead of the other way around, and that seemed to be as intended. (It's a great time to ask questions--take advantage of it!) I was asked technical questions about a couple of my projects by a software developer, but it was only about 30 minutes long. There was a stereotypical interview by an HR person (where do you want to be in five years, etc.).
Insight into my technical abilities was mostly via written tests. There were three (math, programming logic, programming). I signed that I wouldn't describe the question. While not trivial, they weren't too hard for anyone with a decent background. It felt like they were attempting to judge my quality without respect to specific technologies. While it wasn't obvious how good the process is, I appreciated the fact that it wasn't focused on small technical details that can be looked up in a manual.
I got a nice tour of Epic (it's a very nice campus, if a bit isolated) and a brief demo of the software.
I'll need to wait a couple of weeks to learn the results of the interview process.

Interviewed Feb 2012 (took 3 weeks)
I initially applied online, and also forwarded a cover letter and a resume to a recruiter whose contact information I received through a friend who previously interviewed (and had the best things to say about Epic). I received a response from the recruiter in only a few hours. She confirmed that HR would evaluate my application and I'd hear back in about 2 weeks. It only took a week for me to receive an e-mail about taking an online personality test. I was careful and honest with my answers, did not think too much into what they were looking for... A week later, I received an e-mail with date/time options for a phone interview. A week after that- I had my phone interview. It was more of a chat than an interview. The interviewer was young, as almost everyone is in the company, and it was a comfortable chat. He led with a few questions and I was comfortable talking about myself. He appreciated the fact that I was prepared and had done my research about Epic, Madison, and the IT / healthcare industry. I told him openly that I'm very excited about Epic and want to go to Madison to interview in person. He let me know that he'd recommend me for the next step and that I'd hear back in 2 weeks after HR evaluates the recommendation. It only took 1 week to hear back that I was invited to Madison. They booked my flight and hotel, and invited me to dinner with other candidates the night before the interview. The attire for dinner as well as the interview was casual: jeans / khakis / t-shirts / hoodies. Everything about my visit was very well planned. Every instruction was carefully written. My whole experience was smooth sailing. Not to mention, I had SO MUCH fun. Dinner was awesome, I enjoyed getting to know the other candidates as well as my hosts. The interview day: campus tour, lunch in the cafeteria, presentation on the company / applications, going down the famous slide- so much fun. The interviews themselves (I had two, one for each position- PM and TS) casual like my phone interview. I was given a "case study" in each. Given a situation, they asked me how I would handle it. I thought that was easy... At the end of the day, I took the assessments, then went back to the airport. PS: The food in the cafeteria was AMAZING. I heard they train their chefs in Europe.

Interviewed Mar 2012 (took 5 weeks)
Started out applying online, then moved onto a Rembrandt test. The phone interview was very basic, just kinda chatted with the guy. I drove in for a very basic interview. We discussed my current job and they gave me a rundown of the company and what I'd be doing. The 2nd interview was very, very basic. They asked a few "what would you do" questions and that was about it. I was very nervous for the interviews but they turned out to be about as stressful as the interview I had at Subway when I was 17. In the end, it seemed like a huge waste of time and that HR simply exists to exist.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 3 weeks)
Applied online, then took a basic skills test (math/logic questions) a few days later. A recruiter contacted me to set up a phone interview that basically was to confirm that you're a real person. I was then invited to an all-day interview which was full of assessments covering writing, math and computer programming. The campus was beautiful, but it seemed that Epic has a high turnover rate based on the amount of candidates coming in each day.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Verona, WI (took 1 week)
I submitted my resume at a career fair and was contacted about doing a phone interview a week later. The phone interview consisted of a list of prepared questions about things like GPA, ACT/SAT test scores, expected graduation, and then questions about my resume. There weren't really any difficult "interview" style questions like asking for my strengths/weaknesses, it was pretty straight forward.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Verona, WI (took 5+ weeks)
A week after submitting my resume, I took an online personality test with some analogy and math questions mixed in. In the following week, I had a phone screen with a current employee. This was casual, and we mostly discussed my experience and interest in working at Epic. About 1-2 weeks later, I completed a computer-based, math and programming skills assessment. After another 2 weeks, I was invited to the Verona campus where I had three 1:1 interviews, lunch with an employee, and generally discussed the positions I was applying for with current employees. Technical services applicants are not required to give a presentation.
