Interviewed Mar 2012 in Madison, WI (took 2 months)
I got a call from Epic within 2 weeks of applying for Rembrandt test . It was very easy. Soon after got a telephonic call from a member of the HR. I was just asked about my research work. The overall conversation was a casual one and he explained a lot about Epic..a lot. I received an email after about a month that I have to schedule for a 4 hr exam in a test center here..The test consisted of basic math and 4 programming questions. The programming questions were not difficult and anyone from CS background will do very well on it. I received an email from them after 2 weeks that I did not make it to the next round, without stating any reasons for it. Honestly, I do not understand what their selection criteria is....it cannot be the score of the test...as I was very confident about the test. I know people who got into their onsite interview just after the telephonic process. Some people not confident about their tests went through to the next round.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 1 week)
First I applied online for a full-time SE position. A week later, I got a phone call from a engineer in EPIC and talked about some general questions and then couple of days later, I received an email which asked me to attend an online test. The test included math and algorithm. I didn't do well in algorithm.

Interviewed Feb 2012 (took 3 weeks)
First got a phone interview. Which is very general, asked about experience on the resume and double checked with my GPA, GRE Score and graduation date. Then introduced the culture and team composition in Epic. Very easy phone interview. 4 days later got invitation to assessment test. I made an appointment for the assessment test in New York. The test is composed of 14 Math questions, 20 questions about a new Programming Language called MIIS, then 4 programming problems. The first programming problem is the Text Message Input problem(A:2,B:22,C:222,2:2222,D:3 ...), given a alpha-numeric string, print the corresponding key stroke series. The Second is the Mingo problem 100*100 board with unique number from 1~1000000. Then is the encryption problem to replace each char in a string by multiplying the char(A=1, B=2,...Z=26) with a constant N, then Mod 26, use the later char to replace the orginal. The last problem is: Given the number of digits, print all possible "well ordered number", eg. 138 is well-ordered because 1<3<8, 154 is not because 1<5>4. The details of these problems can be found on the other websites. In general the programming questions are a little bit tricky, the other problems are okay.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Madison, WI (took 4+ weeks)
Got a link from the recruiter, and took a skill and intelligence test at a local Pearson test center.
After 4 weeks, went to Madison for onsite
The onsite interview was mostly a tour, showing the working environment and briefly introducing their products.
The only interview part was a talk with the HR, and it was all about nonsense HR questions, like "use five words to describe yourself", etc.
I did not prepare for this kind of questions, so the talk with HR was disastrous. Did not get an offer
