Interviewed Jul 2011 in Long Beach, CA (took 2 months)
These people are totally out of touch with the realities of the applicant pool. They are looking for a major, absolute, superstar expert in Omniture tools - not just SiteCatalyst, but all the other tools that Adobe sells and which very few companies use - and they only want to pay $70K for this expert.
HR staff person was surly and stated that - if - I was offered the position, I would need to provide tax returns and pay stubs to prove how much I made at my previous job and that this position was only a "Associate Manager" position, so you don't get paid a lot.
IT seems they are looking for a replacement for someone who has health problems, because I interviewed with a guy who seemed to have obvious signs of going through intense chemotherapy. Once I got over that, I attempted to answer the - intense - Omniture questions. How to solve difficult and intense data problems. Strange, because I am a marketing manager - not a data analyst. The second guy asked me some tricky Google interview questions and watched me squirm. It was pretty creepy.
FYI: They still have not filled this position, because they are obviously looking for a perfect candidate and don't want to pay market value.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Long Beach, CA (took 7+ weeks)
Applied online off a blind posting that I saw on Indeed. The recruiter called me to discuss my qualifications, current salary, salary expectations (I wasn't expecting an increase despite more responsibility) then proceeded to arrange a phone interview with HR. About a week after completing the HR interview, the recruiter contacted me saying they wanted to fly me in for a day of interviews. I spent 8:30a-7p in six 1:1 interviews.
Interview Questions
Also: "How much of your budget would you spend on marketing?" "How would you manage retailer relationships?"
Reason for Declining
Recruiter contacted me a few days after the interviews to say they were very interested and wanted to see a pay stub from my current employer to verify my current salary. I thought this was strange, but I sent it. The recruiter then pressured me to accept a $15k salary decrease due to the recession and threatened to not make the official offer unless I agreed to the lower salary first. I had agreed to interview based on their previously stated salary range. The experience left an unfavorable impression on me, thus I declined.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Long Beach, CA (took 2 months)
I was initially contacted by an Epson internal recruiter who had reviewed my resume that was posted to their career portal and was informed they wanted to discuss my background in relation to this opportunity. After completing a 30-minute phone screen with the recruiter I was asked to phone interview with the hiring manager the following week. My phone interview with the hiring manager was very thorough and lasted for over an hour. Everything was going positively at this point and I was requested to participate in one more phone interview with someone in a cross-functional role for this job. Completed all phone interviews and then was contacted by the recruiter and informed that my salary requirements were a little high for what they were looking to offer but she could not provide me with an exact amount on how much I would be over their target in base salary or what the total package would look like if an offer was extended. With that said another week passed and I was contacted by the same recruiter and asked to fly into southern CA (Long Beach office) for a series of face-to-face interviews so I agreed.
My on-site interviews were scheduled for two weeks out and this is when things started to become suspicious. While surfing the Internet during this interim time I noticed the same position I was interviewing for to be posted to job boards by 3rd party recruiters. It was apparent that while they liked my strong background if a person could be found more local to their area (I live on the east coast) they would make preference for that individual to avoid relocation costs and maybe a lesser salary. Unfortunately, that is what happened and left a "cheap" taste in my mouth about Epson and the whole process.
During my on-site interviews the employee’s I met with seemed to be going through the motions and were already serious about speaking with other candidates. So, after taking off 3 days from my current employer and enduring jet lag it was pretty much a complete wash-out of my entire week. The main takeaway out of all of this hassle was that the company was extremely slow at decision making on all business accounts and HR (my duration in the process was over 2 months before I received the canned rejection email). Overkill for a “manager” level position.

Interviewed Aug 2008 (took 3 months)
Interview process can take up to 3 months and involves initial phone screen by HR, followed by F2F interview with hiring manager and upper management. Cross functional interviews are the last step. Standard interview questions asked - past experience, situational examples, etc. Nice, friendly culture, but it's a Japanese company - read, major decisions are made in Japan and there is definitely a process and protocol for decision making and communication.
