Interviewed Nov 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
The interview took around 1.5 hour and was entirely competency based. The interviewer was reading questions from the piece of paper and, in the end, gave a couple of standard commercial awareness questions. There were some questions that were tough to get a grasp because of their unusual formulation.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Boston, MA (took 2 months)
The phone interview came after 3 months of my submitting the application. And in 2 weeks I was contacted for one of their Interview days. I was scheduled to speak with 3 people, manager, senior manager and a partner. Unfortunately none of them knew what position they were interviewing me for. Thats what raised red flags for me. No one had any specific questions for me since they had no clue what was going on.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 3 days)
My parents had a friendship with the vice-presient of Human Resources, so they got me first and interview with him where i explained him what where my goals in life and in what type of company i wanted to develop my personal / profesional skills / potential. After we finished the meeting, he told me he was going to give my CV to the recruiting staff so they could contact in the future. Three weeks later i got i call and agreed to have an interview with the Advisory Managing Partner. The interview wasn't about testing my knowledge, it was more about to get to know me better, as a person, what skills i had, what were my goals in life, etc. After we finished, he told me that i really liked him and that human resources was going to contact me to take the complementary exams (psichological and english ones). Two weeks later i got a interview with the recruiting staff where they made an offer to join E&Y, I took it.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Houston, TX (took 3 weeks)
1st round was on campus and was fairly behavioral; why you're interested in the position, etc. I got invited for an office visit and they had 3 back-to-back interviews; each were 45 minutes each. I had one case study interview and two additional behavioral interviews with the more senior people of the group.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 months)
Applied through school career service and got an on-campus interview weeks after. Invited to an E&Y Superday few days after the first interview, and the visit was scheduled at the 5 Time Square address. The Superday started with a overview of E&Y and the interviews were way easier than I thought, two 30-min sections with a partner and a senior manager. Both asked me to tell a story about myself. No behavioral question, no brain teaser, no group case, no writing sample. Nice lunch with an assurance staff and filled in an info sheet to close that day. Got a call from the recruiter two weeks later (horrible two weeks for me) and took me another two weeks to receive my offer letter in mail.

Interview went well, the firm has been very engaged and communicative through out the process.

There is supposedly offer on the table, appears to be a tussle with regards to disclosure of information. Why does EY need a candidate's W-2 information to make a competitive offer ? Is it because they are unable to value talent ( concerning as this is an advisory firm charging for valuations) or because they like to make low ball offers to candidates?
I am curious if others have been required to provide the same ?

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Cleveland, OH (took 2 weeks)
College students are often scared of interviewing with the Big 4 but EY made it so easy! They really care about who you are as a person and not so much about your grades, etc. There are many high requirements of course but I had the best experience the EY compared to the other Big 4.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Detroit, MI (took a day)
Attended the social before the night before, which was helpful. Relatively casual interview. The recruiter started by introducing himself and than walked through my resume asking questions about my course work. My only gripe was how long it took to get a reply and than the reply was via email. Wish they would have called just so I could get some feedback.
