Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
Yes. Negotiation is done primarily over email and decisions are made at the partner level. Remember that negotiating the signing bonus is always easier than the monthly salary, but the monthly salary is your base for all raises and salary increases.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Personality Test, a Group/Panel Interview and a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took 3 weeks)
Process started with initial email from the recruiter. The recruiter I believe found my resume from Monster. After a brief screeining phone call with the recruiter, they setup 2 phone interviews with different managers from the practice. All questions were background/Resume related, with some technical questions, but nothing in detail - fairly short and quick 30 minutes. Each interviewer left about 10 minutes for questions.
Once the phone interviews were complete, an onsite interview was setup. Known as "Superday", they bring in a bunch of candidates and rotate through about 3-4 interviews with professionals in your practice at various levels (manager, sr manger, ED, Partner) for 30 minutes. Each were all fairly resume/background questions - The only diffucult interview was with the manager, where it was fairly technical, but nothing out of the normal for consulting.
Within a week after, I got my official offer.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 4 days)
Referred by a current employee for a role. EY invited me for the Assessment Centre for a case study interview and a group exercise followed by a group presentation. The firm is extremely friendly and people seemed very nice and polite. Neither the case study nor the group exercise was complicated. Something I could have probably done equally well without any preparation.
Since my experience did not match that required for this exeperienced position, EY decided not to take my case forward, which was a real shame as could simply said that ahead of the invitation. They had my CV!!!

Interviewed Oct 2009 (took 3 days)
HR Recruiter for EY called me from Dubai, I did not pick up the phone so she sent me an email to call her back, so I did, she asked me for information about my current job, current experience in the Performance Improvement Advisory, my visa situation and my current salary, then she said she will arrange for an interview with a manager from the local office in Riyadh, the second day she sent me an email telling me she arranged an interview with a Senior Manager from Riyadh office for the day after tomorrow.
I went to the 1 to 1 interview with the Senior Manager on time, i waited about 10 minutes untill he appeared, he was friendly, he did not ask any technical questions wxcept for what I used to do and what is the volume of work i used to handle, and if i undertook a whole project by myself (project management) and he already had my cv so he asked me about some of the clients i mentioned in the cv. the interview took about 30 minutes, he said i could fit in either C2 or SC1 but he thought i fit more as SC1.
He ended the interview saying it will take about 3 days to a week to get the results from the HR Recuiter from Dubai.
After one week i called the HR recuiter from Dubai to tell ask her abou tthe results, she said it might take a couple more days because they are interviewing other poeple. After 2 days she called me saying that I passed the interview and that they were impressed ad they offer me a position as a Senior Consultant 1 but she will send me the offer and the financial package the following day.
So the following day afternoon she calls and tells me about the offered package and the she sent it by email.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Sydney (Australia) (took 2 weeks)
I got a phone interview first for their risk management consulting jobs - it was just about my background and skills. A face-to-face interview with scheduled about 1-2 wks after the phone interview. It was a panel interview - a company director and a line manager. I talked about my broad knowledge in risk management consulting and community service work. However, the role was targetting specifically on AML, which I had some exposure but not a great deal. It went about the 45mins. I got rejected after few hours of the interview. Some feedback was provided a few days later - they needed someone with very strong AML background. That's about it.

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took a day)
E&Y is very slow to move when it comes to making offers. As a matter of fact, HR called me immediately after the interview and told me an offer was pending. I had to wait 7 weeks to get the actual offer. I also felt the job as described is not the job in reality. My group knows who they want to be but do not recognize they are not that group, at least not yet.
