Starting with the questions, "Tell me about yourself" and move on to the company infomation questions.
"How much do you know about our firm? Why do you want to work for our firm?"
Interview style is pretty flexible.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in New York, NY (took 4+ weeks)
Applied for interview through On-Campus Recruiting. First round was one interview on campus with a partner from the tax practice. Partner spoke a majority of the time about himself. Asked 2 simple questions. Tell me about yourself and why accounting/tax. Interview took place at the end of Sept and took bout 4 weeks to hear back.
Round 2 consisted of 2 interviews at their office. Met with a senior manager and partner. Interview with partner was more laid back and more conversational rather then question after question. Interview with senior manager was a bit more intense because he seemed to be one of those guys who takes everything too serious. Majority of questions were asked based off a past internship I had. This interview took place mid Nov and got my offer 6 days after my interview.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took a day)
First on-campus interview. I applied through campus career website. It takes about half an hour. Staffs were really friendly. No technical questions during the interview but behavioral questions as just casual conversation.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 2 weeks)
applied for an opening by submitting a resume, cover letter, and an unofficial transcript. After that, they emailed me and set up a phone interview. Once i cleared that i was time for the on-site interview. The on-site interview consisted with a lunch with a staff and a senior with 2 other candidates. it lasted for 1 1/2 hours and then, i was interviewed by a manager, senior manager, and a partner. By this time, the interviews are meant to see if you are the right fit for the company. Communicate well and show enthusiasm and you will be fine. If you've made it this far, your scholastic achievements are of little concern now. Let your personality shine. Interviewed on monday and got the call friday.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
I initially had a phone interview with a recruiter and was then invited for an in-office visit. At the in-office interview all candidates for different positions were placed in a conference room and given some light breakfast and was given an overview of the firm. Then I had interviews with 3 different Tax professionals, I believe there was a partner, director and or manager.

Very pleasant experience. Questions related to future goals, prior experience etc. Discussed the overtime and my opinion on that. Managers were nice and welcoming. Explained responsibilities that I would be taking on if hired. HR people were nice as well, very informative. Interview lasted one hour with each manager, three in total
