Interviewed May 2010 in Redlands, CA (took 2 days)
ESRI interviews for hours and hours, meeting every person in their 5,000 person company. The technical part of the interview was a little bit like getting raped. Questions were poorly worded, very trivial in nature, and answered by the interviewer before I had a chance to understand the question or even respond, and they openly laughed at me several times. Extremely disrespectful. I was told I didn't meet the standards of their company, even though I have worked for worldwide giants who have equally high standards. No doubt, this company has an amazing ego. They did seem to have their act together on process and delivering products, and they invest heavily in R&D. It seemed like a very good opportunity on the surface.

Interviewed Dec 2008 in Redlands, CA (took 3 days)
The interview process at ESRI is so long and drawn out to the point of being burdensome and over the top. I did two phone interviews and had one on site interview. At the on site interviews I had eleven interviews in one day each lasting about 30 to 45 minutes. I interviewed with people from all over the company, and I am not sure why. Most people I interviewed with did not even work in the department I was being considered for, nor did they know any details about the job I was interviewing for. In fact, the whole process was so disorganized that by the end of the day even I didn't know the specifics of the job I was interviewing for. I would say the interview process lacked focus and meaning.

Negotiation Details
The company was unwilling to change their offer. If I didn't need a job to pay rent I would have declined the offer rather than simply ask them to reconsider it.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Group/Panel Interview.
