Interview Details – I applied for a traineeship at the European Commission and got into the Bluebook. I then received a call from DG Trade. The interview started straight away, with questions about my background, the topic of my thesis and a few trade-related questions. Was promised a decision before the end of the week and got the job.

Interview Details – Hiring process involved an in-depth application form. Once I passed the initial stage of selection, I contacted the HR managers and connections within my desired units to express my interest. This was following advice from several people who work for the European Commission. There was no interview.
