Declined Offer – Interviewed in Gurgaon, Haryana (India) Apr 2012 – Reviewed May 7, 2012
Interview Details –
The HR was not very prompt in answering emails. Had two rounds of interviews - first round had 2 interviews with group managers and then an interview with AVP. Its a KPO and a well known one but the talent is average here. Also, the first interview with group manager was cordial and the second one was a little stiff. Mostly interested in market sizing type of questions. Gave a good understanding of the role etc. Interview with AVP was more related to experience but not very cordial. For a senior position, it did not seem appropriate. Also they knew they are interviewing an MBA for a manager position and still he went on asking extremely technical questions.
Be prepared to answer technical questions on the concerned domain. Practice market sizing type questions and be ready to negotiate salary a lot. The HR can be very picky when it comes to salary negotiation. Be ready with justifications. Salary is very variable.
