Interviewed Dec 2010 (took 3 weeks)
Initial communication consisted of phone asking to schedule an onsite interview. On-site interview consisted of 1:1 with regional supporting HR manager, who then shared that a then 1:1 with regional director of HR was the next step (same day). While waiting for second 1:1 interview i was able to interact with employees in break room and observe a safety meeting. Interviews were informative about company (site specific) challenges in filling HR role in past and expectations for incoming HR. After interview, it was shared that they were interested in moving me to the next steps which were secondary interviews with site GM and VP (to be scheduled on a different day). Interviews were in depth and relevant to company needs and what has been missing in onsite HR support. After secondary interviews with GM and VP next step was phone interview with Exec. Corp VP of HR. phone interview was detailed regarding situational questions specific to various HR examples. After background check, drug test offer was extended.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Columbus, OH (took a day)
Interviewed with several people for the position. They asked a variety of questions that pertained to my background and resume in addition to behavioral based questions and even some psychological questions. Very laid back and easy to talk to, overall a positive experience. It took around 30-40 minutes and they helped create conversation outside of the questions so it was less interrogative.

Negotiation Details
don't count on receiving the job you are being interviewed for or for that matter even the job you were told you were being hired for. There were no negotiations, you were just told how it would be and you either had to except or refuse. Exel was willing to overlook the fact that I had been out of work for a long period of time.

Interviewed Jan 2009 in Fort Worth, TX (took a day)
Referred by local Texas Workforce Commission office. Completed a timed math and English test. I passed, so I got a one-on-one with their recruiter. Was assured that I "would be hearing from them very soon," almost three years ago... still waiting... Recruiter asked many open-ended questions focused on my logistics experience, and how it would apply to scenarios at EXEL. He was a skillful interviewer, fair and honorable. Sorry they rejected me. Seemed like a place with potential.

I got the interview through a Staffing Agency and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, an IQ/Intelligence Test and a Skills Test.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Mississauga, ON (Canada) (took a day)
I applied online, got a call and went in for the interview. When I got there, I saw a man flipping the bird to the security guard (red flag) which was a bit unnerving. Then when the interview started, the interviewers began explaining a different position than I applied for (red flag). I politely listened and answered their questions as best as I could and asked some questions of my own. I was then asked to come in a couple days later to do a second interview. Before committing to it, I asked if they could send me the job description and some other details of the job I was being interviewed for. They said they would.. the day of the second interview, I never received that documentation (red flag).. so after three red flags, I turned down the second interview.

Reason for Declining
I felt mislead. If it's that bad in the interview process, I can only imagine how bad it is internally.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took 2 days)
Met HR recruiter at career fair. Approached to ask for more detailed information regarding position and potential hiring opportunities. Did not know much about position. Gave my resume. Asked if they had a business card so I could follow up with them. Was told they did not have any. Got a call back and had an on campus interview. 1:1 interview with corporate recruiter. Basic interview questions (personality and situational and behavioral) and really asked a lot of question about relocation. Approximately a few days later I received an email from corporate recruiter and was invited to their College Day (2nd round interviews). Was one of about either other students invited. College Day is an all day event. Was given a brief company overview and detailed description of what the OS positions duties were. Applicants were then asked to give a presentation (did not have to). Then went through three more 1:1 interview with managers and GMs from different facilities amongst different sectors (retail, technology, etc). Broke for lunch and then given a facility (warehouse) tour. We were driven back and that was the end of the day. Was told we would be hearing back within a few weeks. No set date was given but all students were told they would hear back one way or another. At the two week mark, I decided to follow up with the corporate recruiting manager and was told they were sending out acceptance or rejection letters. Other students I met told me they were called and notified and some got no call or email at all.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
(I was given a verbal offer but never received a formal offer)
After I followed up with the corporate recruiter, I received a phone call from the program manager. They asked me again how I felt about relocation and what my views of the company were and if I saw myself as a good fit with Exel. I was then told that one of the managers was very impressed with my interview, presentation, and understanding of the supply chain process and was asked if I would be interested in a different position. The position was a Value-Add Analyst. I was very excited to hear this and said that sounds even better than what I initially interviewed for. I was told that my resume would be sent to another manager(s) for review and they would get back to me early the following week. By the middle of the week I had heard nothing back so I decided to follow up and ask when I might hear back from them. I got an immediate response saying that my resume was still being passed around and they were looking over it so expect to hear back early the following week. It has been another week and still no response or follow up. Their lack of professionalism and organization is highly apparent to the other applicants as well. Two told me they were contacted by phone and told why they would not be hired (one being told that they were too analytical) and another student has not received a phone call or email.
So I was offered a position but they failed to follow up with me. And if they do follow up (I highly doubt it) I will simply not respond back to them.
