I had calculated heat loads in order to properly size the HVAC equipment and my boss looked over my calculated values and said something isn't right. Ended up he was right I mistakenly used an occupancy with units of people/ft^2 instead of # of people. I was still learning at the time so it wasn't a crucial mistake, but it was one I wouldn't repeat.
