Interviewed and No Offer

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Boston, MA (took 1 week)
Started off with a phone interview with a recruiter. Came in a week later for another interview. The recruiter then gave me a quick view of the building. I met with the recruiter and two QA team leads. The interview consisted of logic problems, what you know about the company, and about your background.
Didn't really talk much about the position. I should have brought up more questions about the position. Great company pretty bummed out I didn't get an offer.
Tips: try to learn about their software OMS.

As there are 6 extra black socks, 3 pairs will have 100% match. Thus, the answer should be 50% ++ .... as follows..
= {19 pairs x (50%chances) + 3 Paris x (100% chances)} / 21 Total Pairs
= (900+300)/21
= 1200 / 21
= 57.14% chances.

44 (that’s the first sock) * 43 (that’s the second sock) divided by 2 (because it doesn’t matter in which order you pick the two socks)
How many ways are there to pick randomly 2 grey socks out of a heap of 19 ?
19*18/2
How many ways are there to pick randomly 2 black socks out of a heap of 25 ?
25*24/2
So, the chance of you picking 2 socks with the same color are:
(19*18/2 + 25*24/2) / (44*43/2) = 0,498
The chance of picking 2 socks with a different color are:
19*25 /(44*43/2) = 0,502

I guarantee (100%) that I will have a matching pair after I pull out three socks.
0% if I pull only 1 sock
2 socks - see Brigitte's answer, but that would seem to be answer for a specific engineering-type position.

So I will not be able to pick the correct pair at the first instance.
